I use this most every day, once for my husband and once for myself before we head out the door. I feel like it's a healthy decision on our part to choose green smoothies as our breakfast. I would rather not be pouring much liquid into the cup, but the travel cup does need more than the 40-oz because there's no tamper to push down. But once I figured out that more liquid reduces cavitation, I have had no issues with this. Great product. Very convenient.

It is difficult to open the top

I got two 20 oz container cups with my Vitamix 7500. The other day -after cleaning under the rubber ring- it leaked in my bag and ruined my documents and a book. I will save money to replace them with the flip top beverage bottles.

We got out Vitamix S30 a few months ago and generally have been happy. We have 2 of the travel containers and one is great and the other is awful! The double insulation has let in moisture in one of them and we can't seem to get the moisture out, and it's developing a mildewy smell (EW!) Contacting Customer Service to get a replacement, but our other one hasn't had the same issues. Weird!
Separately, the mugs are HUGE, and therefore don't fit in our cupholder easily. We also have wide straws that we used with our previous travel containers but they fall in to this jar when I put the lids on. I end up having to use without the lids if I want to use the straws, which is annoying.
As others have noted, the lids are super hard to get off.

Really great design

I have been using my vitamix S 30 for about 5 months now, usually twice daily. I have been using these 20 ounce cups every day for smoothies, and I really think it's a great product. The way that the cup is shaped is designed to assist gravity in making sure all your ingredients stay at the bottom of the cup. I fill the cup with frozen ingredients, greens, and sometimes even dry oats, and my smoothies always come out really well blended, and anything stuck on the sides slides down and mixes. I do sometimes have to give the cup a good shake before blending because the frozen fruit likes to freeze to the cup with almond milk, but this is nothing to do with the cup. The plastic feels substantial and good quality, and cleans easily. They rinse well, and also clean nicely in the dishwasher. I have used lower quality personal blending cups (and blenders), and the thought that went into this design is really evident with consistent, daily use..

Gave this as a Christmas gift To a Viramix junkie to find out lid leaks. Shame quality doesn't align with Vitamix machine quality.
