I am saddened to hear of your dissatisfaction in your front load washer, cheryl77. We recommend liquid or powder detergent over the use of PODS in front load washers. We are unable to guarantee the pod will dissolve at the correct time during the wash cycle to ensure proper cleaning performance. If pods are used, please place the pod directly into the washer drum BEFORE placing laundry into the unit. This will help mix the detergent into the water. Do not place the pod in the detergent dispenser drawer as the gel coating may cause the detergent drawer to become clogged (page 8 in your Owner’s Manual). Detergent and fabric softener may build up in the dispenser drawer. Inside routine cleaning includes the dispenser drawer. Residue should be removed once or twice a month (page 22 in your Owner’s Manual has the instructions). Water may be left in the dispenser cup due to how the unit siphons water through the dispenser. This is normal operation. Water may be removed by removing the dispenser drawer and dumping the water into the empty drum or sink. See use and care manual for instructions on removing the dispenser drawer (page 22).
