Reversible Door - Only Known Washer To Have This!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a similar model before but sold to with our home. The reversible door option (only one we could find) was the main reason for buying this machine and so far it been wonderful.

Different than an old washer !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sadly, our washer of 28 years broke. So, after doing a lot of research, we chose this Electrolux model. We are happy with it but it does take some getting used to. It uses way less water, so don't even think about your clothes floating in water. It also is very difficult to get hot water for a wash. Even when set on hot, the water is so limited that much of the cold water sitting in the lines goes in first.. I have added hot water to it when I wanted it really hot. There is a hot setting with steam but I believe that is overkill. You have to use less detergent or it will never get it all out. This model comes with an extra rinse, which I use. It is relatively quiet, it does make some noise when it is spinning. If anyone complains about it being really loud, I would suspect that it is not balanced properly. We do keep our door open and I do wipe around the seal with a paper towel to prevent any mold issues. I have not had any problem with mold. There is a wash cycle to wash the washer, I have not used it yet. One thing I do not like is that there is no mechanism to collect lint or pet hairs. My old washer used to collect a lot of lint in the center, which could be and needed to be cleaned after every load. So, i am seeing an increased amount of lint still remaining on the clothes. i am worried that down the road, it will end up blocking a drain from the washer. We have tried many cycles and the one we like the best is the normal cycle, normal soil, hot, and low spin, extra rinse. This is a 52 minute cycle. It has a fast cycle, have not used it.. So, I am learning to embrace this washer, but very different from the old way of washing clothes. I would have liked to see more hot water and a lint trap. We have only had it for 7 weeks. Hopefully, we can get 10-12 years out of it. I know not to expect 28 years like my old one !

Better than I thought

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is much bigger than my old top loader. Wash time is about equal except on the super sanitize settings. I haven't seen the savings in my water bill yet. You have to remember to empty the water that gathers in the bleach container after each wash. Not sure why that happens. But everything seems to come out clean and I haven't seen the clothes get worn excessively like some people with front loaders have said.

A joy to use
