Love it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I went from a front load machine to a top load and now I am back to the front loading machine. I am able to washing large items which I couldn't do in the top load machine. I don't have to make anymore trips to the laundry mat.. It works very quietly and lets me know when it is done washing. I love the light inside so I can see if I missed something in it..

Met expectations

Great features and super quiet!

Almost Perfect

Other than that, I am very happy with the unit.

Cleans Clothes Well; #1 Reason for Having a Washer

The main reason I chose this washer was that it had a door that could be reversed as I had to keep my washer on the right side. I am mostly happy with the purchase. The big problem I have had is that the drawer that is for the detergent, softener and bleach does not totally empty at the end of the cycle. It is mostly apparent with the fabric softener because there is a mixture of softener and water left in the cup when the load is done. Also, the entire drawer has leftover water in it that must be dumped, so the drawer needs to be removed to do that and unless your sink is close by, water will drip all the way to your sink. I read in a response from Electrolux to another reviewer that said it may be an issue that the siphon is clogged. Even though my machine was a week old, I followed the instructions and flushed the drawer with water but I still have the same problem of leftover liquids in the drawer cups. I was told by the repair person that if a make a mixture of softener and water (2:3 ratio,) it should empty better but it doesn't. The only other issue I have encountered is that there is available "error code guide" so when a code displays on the machine, you have to research it on the computer or call Electrolux customer service. I have called twice. I asked for a list but was told there is not one available to consumers. It's a waste of my time to have to look it up to see what a problem is. My old machine manual had a page devoted to error codes; it was helpful. I will say that my clothes seem cleaner and am overall happy with this washing machine.

Prefer Top load

Hey Scottyg, I am dismayed to hear you are not happy with your front load washer. Your model has the option of an extra rinse cycle that can be added to any cycle, except for the fast wash. If you are combatting oversudsing, try using less high-efficiency detergent. In a top load washer, clothes are forced through the water. In a front load washer, water is forced through the clothing as the drum rotates back and forth. Front load washers have no center agitator, but instead rely on tumble action to wash gently and rinse completely, helping your clothes last longer and feel fresher. The exact amount of water required is automatically sensed by the washer, so you only use the amount of water you need.
