I am loving this one much better than the larger, taller one that came with my Vitamix, because this smaller version has a wider base and doesn't get bogged down like the taller, larger one that has a small base.. However, I think it is very over priced. For crying out loud, why is everything so expensive? I am retired on a fixed income, so this was a luxury for me to spend this kind of money. Guess I will just say it is for my birthday, Mother's Day, and Christmas present to

I bought this canister to replace my taller one - was tired of it not being able to fit easily under my counter top. It is great and there are no issues with it fitting my older model Vita Mix. However, I echo what other reviews have written - how I wish that Vita Mix offered a GLASS canister! I would gladly pay extra for it. I've had this one for almost a month now and despite thoroughly cleaning it after each use, it has already taken on that dirty appearance that plastic does - such a bummer.

I bought this canister because it is billed as under the counter, which I like. It's between the sizes of the full size 8-cup canister and smaller 4-cup one. However I'm disappointed in its performance. Whenever I use a higher speed the contents run out of the spout making a big mess! This doesn't happen with the other canisters unless I over fill them. This canister does that even when only half full. As a consequence, I would not recommend this canister.

I bought a 32 oz container for my smoothies as soon as I got my Vitamix ,but I guess my batches are larger than most people . I decided to get the 48 oz and see how that was and it is perfect for whipping up about 18 oz of smoothie. With liquid, yogurt, spinach, and frozen fruit it takes up more room than you would think. It also is a great size for all kinds of things that I have tried out in my new 750 . Vitamix has changed my life !!!

I have been using the classic larger size container with my vitamix blender for years and wanted to try out this smaller version for better ease of use for smaller recipes such as sauces and smoothies. I LOVE this size and use it daily. The larger size is great for blending soups, but I prefer this 48 oz size for most uses. Thank you!

Great product though quite EXPENSIVE! A new container is nearly the same cost as a whole new unit! I only needed a new blade and they don’t sell that piece.
