I have owned my Vitamix for about 5 years. I love it. One day my old container made a horrible noise and started smoking!!! It was dead! Had to get a new one and decided on the short/squatty one so I could sit it on the counter, under the upper cabinets- great fit. The first time I used it I was surprised how much quieter it was than the old one- I think the bearings had slowly been going bad and had gradually become more and more noisy. I sure am happy with the new container. The only drawback I see is that the handle is hollow which I think will make keeping it clean a bit more difficult. Too bad these cost so much money.

I was visiting a friend and was surprised to see she had this smaller size container. As I live alone and mostly only make things for myself it is much more efficient for me to use this smaller size and also easier to store. I love it!

I bought this so it would fit on my counter, which it does. I use it every day and the original container lives in the cabinet. I do not understand why this is a worse product than the 64oz container, but it's worse. The handle is not ergonomic like the big one and it's hollow so it gets blended gunk in it and therefore it's harder to clean, too. My biggest complaint and the greatest mystery, though, is why the pouring spout is not like the big container. It drips constantly. It pours worse. I sort of hate using this container because it *feels* junky compared to the constantly delightful large container. Why on earth does Vitamix even make a container that doesn't pour well? They've already found a great spout and a great handle--use them everywhere, please!
But this is the container I use every day, despite its drawbacks.

The 48 ounce container is the size that I use the most often. It's perfect for my morning smoothies and for a sweet potato bowl that I make. I also use it for several other things. This is not my first 48 ounce container. I purchased the first one when I bought my Vitamix in 2016. Unfortunately I didn't know at the time to refrain from using silverware (stainless steel) to scrape out the contents. It made my container very cloudy and was impossible to get clear again. I replaced that one and only use a rubber spatula to scrape out contents now. No more problems! By the way, I also have the 32 ounce container and the low profile 64 ounce container. But my 48 ounce container is my go-to indispensable size.

We've (2 of us) had this for a few years now, and we use it almost daily, mostly for smoothies, but sometimes for sauces and soups. I'm about to try and grind coffee with it as I cannot find my grinder and bot whole beans. Expensive yes, but all those green smoothies have been so healthy and delicious. Sometimes that is all I'll eat for lunch/breakfast: quick, delicious, healthy. Can't beat that! You deserve it too! Nice size for two people.

The size of the container is perfect. The container is just not as nice as the original container that came with the blender. Pouring thicker drinks is very difficult, the spout is square instead of rounded like the original container, it makes a mess. The center piece of the lid is deeper than the original so when running the blender with soap and water to clean, the soap and water does not reach this portion like the original container, therefore hand cleaning is necessary. I do like the gray rubber material the top is made of over the original, it is easier to wipe down and clean and liquid repels off it very easy. I do wish they would have kept the handle made of rubber, this plastic handle is very slippery.
