This was a replacement container for my 5200c blender. When washing the container by hand, water gets in between the bottom part of the blade and the blade holder which should easily be removed by twisting it off. We cannot remove it so the water remains trapped. Special tool is probably needed.

I really like this 48 oz container , Its just the right size for making a smoothie just for me . It's easy to clean to. I have had my Vitamix with the 64 oz container for years , but I like the smaller size container better.

The size is good for me. Easier to use than the 64oz. I do not like the hollow handle. Too difficult to clean and dry. The tamper seems a little short if you're trying to make almond butter or hummus.

The container that came with my Vitamix blender had a snug fit. When I bought this slightly smaller container I checked for compatibility, and indeed it does work with my blender. However it has a somewhat loose fit, and I do not like that part of the design.

Hello, all containers should sit flush on top of the motor base, but will have slight movement rotating in both directions. This is by design. When the blades are engaged, depending on the load, the container may shift. Please allow this to happen.
