The machine is much louder than our first generation blender!!! The container is way wider causing more of a mess inside it when blending smaller amounts of material. Using the accessory smoothie cups are too narrow and don't allow you to put very much material in the cup. Additionally, you have to mount the cup while holding the mounting cradle upside down, (bad idea!) and will probably be a waste of money because I do not see myself using it very much. Frankly I wish I would have never bought a new Vitamix and kept my old one that I had four over 10 years!!! :(

I love that it fits under my cabinets and keeps me from making too much. It does not blend as well as the tall container. It takes longer and need more poking with the thing that goes through the lid.

Dropped my old container and had to order a new one.. It was expensive but worth it, ordered a shorter size and I honestly like it much better. It blends better then the original.

This is the perfect size for doing smoothies and blends perfectly. I gave it a 4 star just because it doesn't fit perfectly on the base I have and moves around a little while blending, but everything still seems to blend fine.
