I wanted a smaller size than the 64 oz container that came with the Vitamix. I make a 16 ounce shake every morning, so I was looking at the 32 oz vs 48 oz containers. I'm glad I got the 48 oz, when I want to make two shakes at once it would have overfilled the 32 ounce container. The 48 ounce is well made, fits under my counter, and has a nice weight to it.

I really enjoy the 750 pro, which came with a 64 oz container. I have bought a number of additional containers for it...including the 32 oz dry container, 48 oz aer disc container, and the 48 oz wet container. All fit well on the base of the Vitamix except for the 48 ounce wet container. It moves noticeably, shifting to the right, when in operation and it seems it is too big for the base of the Vitamix. My question: why does this happen and not with the 48 oz aer container (which is clearly designed differently at the base--better in my opinion--and fits well)?

Hi there! Our customer care team is happy to do some troubleshooting with you to determine whether your container is damaged. However, when you turn your unit on, you will notice that the container may shift slightly to the right or the left. This is your Vitamix lining up the container for optimal performance! Please do not prevent this from happening as it could damage the motor. Once the container has shifted, you can rest your hand on top of the lid kit firmly if you would like to secure the container better while you blend.
Purchased this during a sale in December 2014. Happy to save money & it fits under my counter unlike the original container. Saving the big container for vegetables that stain the plastic. New container still shiny- using it mostly for smoothies.
I love having a smaller more convenient size. Now I use my older one for foods that stain, like cooking with turmeric, and keep the smaller one for my daily smoothies. It helps me keep from making them too big too.
The reason I purchased this was I wanted to have my blender and container to fit under my counter. So for that reason It's great. It is a little shorter so because of that there's a little more splatter on the lid when blending than the taller 64oz one.
