For years I struggled with shoving my wonderful Vitamix back under my "too low" cabinets! The taller container always had to be placed separately next to the base, no room for it to sit on top! I highly recommend this shorter container if you have low cabinets, it even seems to blend more thoroughly....so glad I purchased this

I love the 48-oz jar because it has a smaller footprint and works great when I am working with smaller quantities of food for daily cooking. It has a broader base so easier to get to the bottom of the jar as well. As all Vitamix products, it is sturdy and well-constructed. I am glad I bought it!

The 48 oz container is the perfect size for most of my blending needs. The 64 oz doesn’t work well for smoothies. This container works just right. Great purchase!
