I am so happy that we purchased the 48 ounce container for our Vitamix. When we purchased our Vitamix 5200, it came with a 64 ounce container and a 48 ounce dry container. We don’t always blend enough to use the 64 ounce cup, so the 48 ounce is the perfect size. We use it almost every night to blend up our protein shakes for dessert. Like all of the other Vitamix blender cups, cleanup is always a breeze. About halfway filled with water, a couple of drops of dishwashing liquid, and about 30 seconds on high and the blender cleans itself!

I've had the Vitamix for several years and think it's great. I ordered the 48 Oz. container because I thought the unit ,when put together, would fslide under my cabinets on the kitchen counter. It is about 1/2 - 3/4 inches too tall. Sooo, still have to dig it out from the lower cabinets to use it. Oh Well.

Hello, you might have luck with it fitting if you remove the lid or even try flipping the lid upside down to allow for more space when storing on top of your machine. Our 32-ounce Container is 9.8 inches high and our 48-ounce Container is 10.25 inches high.

I’ve had at least 3 Vitamixs, and recently purchased a new 48oz container. I had a 32 oz container that I wore out! I use the Vitamix everyday for smoothies & sometimes soup. It pulverizes everything, if I want the smoothie smooth. No other blender did that for me. The 48 Oz. Container is a little larger for bigger jobs
& works well. I love my Vitamiix & wish I could do even more with it. I purchased my first Vitamix at a demo at the Home & Garden Show @ the Cleveland Expo. I was amazed at the demos & the ease of cleaning it. I knew I would really like it & I do!

While I have not had this container for very long, I am very much pleased with its performance and the space modification of this product. Our Vitamix 5200 has been a valuable asset in the many versatile creations of healthier meals in our home for years (soups, smoothies, desserts, salad dressings, etc.). Although we already have a 64oz. And a 32oz. dry container, this 48oz. container would be an excellent addition to any household. Some may desire not to have so many different containers as this could also defeat the purpose of space to storing such items, but this particular product is worth having if you use your Vitamix frequently. I have experienced the same consistent blend of ingredients, as the 64oz, with good blades and the versatility of a lesser amount for a meal.
