Not Dishwasher Safe and Cannot Be Disassembled

I got this for my wife who is a Vitamix fan. I will never use it for the reasons which follow.
This carafe is a well made replacement for existing Vitamix blenders. But, it is not dishwasher safe, the plastic will cloud up over time and it cannot be disassembled for convenient cleaning. Vitamix devotees know this, but I don’t like the blend-to-clean, then rinse and air dry methods Vitamix recommends, so I don’t use it. I do not understand why Vitamix continues to use this crummy plastic or why they won’t make a dishwasher safe carafe.

I purchased this 48oz container because the tall 64oz container seated on the base doesn't fit under my kitchen cabinets. The problem is the 48oz container doesn't fit either with the top on by about an inch. It works well and is better for smaller batches, but doesn't meet the main purpose for which it was purchased.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So I was so excited to use my rebate to purchase the 48oz container. I was attempting to use a small mini-chopper but it was not doing the job so I dumped the contents into my 48oz container and turned it on.Unbeknownst to me, the blade from the mini chopper was also dumped! It scratched up my brand new container and I think the blades are damaged! I was then and remain today totally devastated! I love my Vitamix.This was my faux pas☹️

I would like to add a feature needed ..on the TOP add a different color like a dot or add always place the dobber on the outside of the LID.....I did it 2x the first time I
ruined the dobber the second time I ruined the plastic blender (it made a hole in the side) therefor cannot use it again - I bought the 48 oz. size...I like the original size the best, just to save money I bought the smaller on.

I bought the Vitamix series 750 a few years ago and would not be without it. When I bought it was only in the stainless and black. I really wanted red which was not available at that time but came out later. At the price point I could not rebuy in red. I like the 750 and recommended it to my sister who immediately bought the same as I have.

48 Ounce Container is Easy to Keep Like New!!

I have been using this 48 ounce container for a little under five years and have managed to keep it in beautiful condition. I use mine at least twice very single day of the year. I have noticed some reviews for this product mention that it functions perfectly but is cloudy. Here is my method for keeping it in like new condition. #1: One second after I switch VM to off I immediately transfer the contents to a cup, bowl, glass (whatever is appropriate) #2: Within one second after transferring contents I add dish detergent to container & then fill it up with very hot water. #3: Then one second later I take a bottle brush with very soft bristles and thoroughly clean each and every section plus the bottom. One second later I thoroughly rinse the container inside/out and one second after that I take a clean linen towel and thorughly dry container inside/out. I then put the container away & only then do I enjoy whatever it is that I created in the VM. Morale of the story is to immediatgely wash, rinse and dry ....this really works and keeps the container sparkling and super clean not to mention refreshing to look at!
