Quiet, sturdy design

Operating noise is almost none, I have been used air purifier for almost entire my life, and this is the advanced air purifier I ever had. I can barely hear the fan. And, I love the design and built quality. Weight & structure is very sturdy.

An excellent, extremely quiet air purifier

I have used LG products before ( washer, dryer, phones) and based on that experience was expecting a good quality product. This air-purifier did not disappointed me. The first thing me and my wife noticed after taking the purifier out of the box was that it looks very cool, like a show piece object. It is very easy to lift with the provided slot in the back panel and the weight is also not a big issue.
Design and controls:
The manual and quick start guide is very easy to follow and I was able to set it up within 5 mins. The instructions are very clear and the filter arrangement is very simple and straightforward. I particularly liked the soft touch buttons which are very responsive. It seems like LG has gone with a minimalist design approach which is very nice. There are only 5 touch buttons on the top: Power, Fan speed, Turbo, Indicator and Off Timer. I only had to refer to the manual to understand the Indicator button functionality as the rest were all self-explanatory. The turbo mode runs the purifier at full speed and is for 30mins if required. Off timer sets the timer for 2, 4 and 8 hours but turns off all the indicators as soon as you set it. This was initially confusing because all the indicators including the center color indicator turns off with only the small timer indicator white light on top coming ON. The manual description clarified the confusion.
Opinion post 1 month-
By now I have used the purifier to check the air in all rooms. It generally starts with yellow or orange glow and within 30 mins turns green indicating cleaner air. My kids also love the color coded indicator and tell me what the air quality is. We have now placed it in our master bedroom as my wife is more allergic to dust particles and always leave it in the auto mode and at night set the timer to avoid the light distraction. The most amazing thing is the super quiet operation. It is hardly perceptible at low speed and only noticeable at high speed. I have not yet changed or washed the filter yet but don't expect that to be difficult. Overall I am very pleased with this product and more pleased with LG product designs. I would highly recommend the product to any one who would like to have clean air in the home and particularly useful for people who may be allergic to dust.

Quiet diligent worker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had the purifier for a few months now. It's been very helpful. It quietly and diligently does its job. It's nice to be able to look over and see the light to indicate how hard it is working. I've kept it in Auto mode most of the time but it's nice to be able to kick it into turbo when needed. We are "bird-sitting" for a few months and this has really helped to keep the dander and feathers in control.

Amazing solution for allergies

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Allergy season hit extra hard this year in Arizona and being pregnant I am not able to take any medication. For months I was sleeping barely 4 hours a night due to being so congested. My dad bought this purifier for me and it's been a god send. It takes only a few moments to go from the red zone ( high particle content) to the green ( low content) and I can finally breath! The first night I had it in my bedroom ( and since) I have been able to sleep through the night and not wake up with congestion and headaches! We are purchasing one for our baby's room as well.
