I take a lot of pictures and am very pleased with this phones camera. The large screen is awesome for everything. The only thing that bothers me is the lag when going into some apps like the gallery or the camera. I can't get in quick enough and miss the shot sometimes. :(
I like this phone. Easy to navigate and light weight.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall this device performs the way a high end Android is meant to. With virtually no interface lag this device makes multitasking a breeze. Additionally the camera and battery life are amazing. Well done Samsung!
I love the galaxy s5. It has amazing features although samsung! Ultra power saving mode is one of my Favorites I use it all the time when I go in long trips. The camera is just amazing. The design is great! Bug screen but the edges should be metallic so we are not force to buy a case. Whats the point of having a beautiful phone if we need to hide it in a case to not brake it. The speed is great as well I feel its one of the fastest phone I ever had. Water resistant! I feel like its water proof because u have dropped it in water so many times which it has help me. I swim a lot so dont judge me. Overall I love this device, but I do have the Samsung gear 2 which im I am extremely disappointed of. Bought it, 7/07/2014 n the touch screen stopped working and now im stock with it because its been a little over a month since today is 8/12/2014 and I cant return it, horrible!! Anyways I do love the phone it self.
As a long time iPhone user, the transition to the S5 took a few days, but, once used to it, I've found it superior in almost all respects. Pros: 1. Brighter, larger display 2. Better keypad 3. lots of ancillary equipment, like my Google watch
Cons: 1. The battery, it will not last a day without being recharged at least once. 2. The absence of a mute switch.
I previously owned a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and decided to make the switch to the S5. I was nervous because I had become accustomed to the larger screen and S Pen. The switch was worth it. I love the HDR preview and the antiglare screen. It helps a ton when outside with the beaming Sun! I use my S Health app while I'm working out and I track what I eat and work on hitting my goals. Kids corner has been a life saver when my kids aren't cooperating while put running errands. The water resistancy came in handy when I dropped the phone in a bowl of cereal with milk and I can't even begin to count the amount of times that ultra power saving mode has saved me! The best part is, I haven't even touched base on half of what this phone can do! I'm overall completely satisfied with this phone. Its been the best phone I've owned thus far. Way to go Samsung, you've nailed it.
Galaxy beats the Droid hands down! I would sit for hours waiting for the internet to come up. Now, it is immediate. Love the options...Love the Speed....Love IT!
I won't get into all the nuances of every detail of this phone. Much discussion has been around the overall design...and I agree. Make it metal.
IP67 is great and I'm not as worried to look at my on the rain in addition, I'm more apt to listen to music in the bathroom when in the shower.
Biggest gripes: 2 things. First off this isn't a rooted phone.
I have no interest in using the multi-window function as there is no customization of which apps I want to use. There are numerous occasions I would love to open my banking app and then multi-window my password keeper to enter password info. Not everyone is a 16yr old and wants to stream Youtube to watch vids all day and chat at the same time. Don't forget the other demographics you're selling to Samsung! They are the ones with the money!
The other thing is the default messaging app. Why in the world does the app not default to the "home screen" of the messaging app when opening the app up? So many times I've read a message from wife then closed the app to get a text from a friend and have it re-open back to my wife's text. Agghhhh! I wanna root just for that!
Overall a great phone but a little big. Shame on me for wanting performance at the price of a huge phone. ie Samung Active and other smaller phones with lower performance.
