Excellent phone wrapped in an, otherwise, bland package

Got this from Groupon for dinged and scratched used late model phones. It came in better shape than I'd imagined. Performance on this phone is pretty phenomenal considering I'm comparing it to my GS7 Edge. This two year older phone isn't much slower. Of course the 7 Edge looks way better. But this S5 is perfect as a standby phone or when I go out and about somewhere I'm looking to get rough and tough and I don't want risking my S7 Edge. This S5 is built well. Added a Qi charging receiver and it nearly completed the feature set in the S7 Edge. I'm hoping it gets Nougat, but I'm not holding my breath.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Inexpensive, Lightweight, Built-in speakers
Cons: the silly plastic chrome looks really cheesy, the usb cover is also tacky looking, needs an unlocked bootloader
I would recommend this to a friend!

This phone has many of great features, such as; Some of the most important ones to me and hard to find from other brand androids are: 1) Water resistant capability, 2) Compatibility with very durable protection holding cases with clip & 3) Capability to insert a micro-SD card for more space, Along with 4) Continued updates from Samsung along with their partners to keep the software up to date, 5) great quality pictures/videos & 6) the capability to take a screen shot still amazes me. Only down fall is: 1) they sell for a much higher price, 2) that they do not sell this model anymore & 3) I like smaller models like the size of the Galaxy S5 mini, which they do not sell any more either.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Built-in speakers, features that newer models don't have have
Cons: Too big, exspensive, security features didn't work for stolen phone
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hate this phone

Ive had to factory reset this phone 3 times in the last year. Each time losing photos, contacts, files, and music. The last time it locked me out it wouldn't accept my pin and no matter what Samsung tec tried nothing worked. I'm switching to Iphone.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have lived in the same house for 15 years and I have never had bad reception with all the other phones I have had. and I have had a cell phone for 20 years.

The phone it's self is superb, I dislike the Sprint service but love the phone. I use the remote app and it's extremely convenient when traveling to your friends houses and wana take over their t.v. and be annoying. It has A lot of nice features and more than I will ever use thats for sure. Samsung, I Love you!

Cons: hate sprint network

I don't think I have come across any problems that are relevant to Samsung . The apps are where most of my problems come from. The typical running out of ram and storage. Phone becomes sluggish and so on. ...
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: not many accessories for the s5., charging is a challenge with non original charger
