I've had my s5 for about
3 months and it's great! It's super easy to work, has a great camera, and has a very big screen. The phone is extremelyour light and easy to hold plus you can track your exercise and weight on the phone. Overall it's just a really good phone and I love the fact that it's waterproof

I am an android person. Tried an iPhone but couldn't get used to it. I did like some of the iPhone features & was pleasantly surprised to see the Samsung Galaxy s5 has them! So far, I love it!

This is a wonderful phone, I really love it!
Great pics, huge screen and friendly keebord, every app and feature are easy to access.
I also got the Gearfit and I am really pleased with the duo. I never thought I was going to say this, but the truth is that I like it better than my old iphone.

Almost perfect

This is the Samsung I know and love. I upgraded from an S3 to this phone. It's a fantastic upgrade. The speed, the size, the design, the features, all of these things make this one of the most superior cell phones out there today.
I love the Samsung Fit app a lot, It's been a joy to use. I also love the new design. The S3 was slippery, this is more grippy. Despite still being plastic, this phone feels premium and solid. In fact I like it better than I liked the iPhone5, which was a nice phone.
It is also durable. The screen has no scratches still, and I'm accident prone. It's strong and waterproof which helps greatly on outdoor runs and bike rides. I can even rinse this thing off.
The battery lasts surprisingly long for a phone with this kind of brightness, clarity, and size.

Now for the "almost perfect" part. It still has some of the nagging issues I've seen in other Galaxy devices. This time, the most obvious and annoying is the fact that the screen sometimes won't come on, but the capacitive buttons will light up. I have to push power a few times to get it to come on. It's a transient issue but really annoying.
Also, the bluetooth has some issues. When using anything voice activated over bluetooth there can be a delay or sometimes it won't hear me at all and i have to retry several times.

New S5 died within 4 weeks.

I got my new Verizon S5 about 4 weeks ago. It totally died and could not be turned on. Took it back to the Verizon store and they had no idea what was wrong with it.
Verizon sent me a new phone, will see how this one does.

Best Galaxy Device Ever Put Out by Samsung

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is absolutely amazing. To give a context of how this phone compares to others in the past - In my personal opinion, early versions of Samsung phones from several years ago were not the best (ex. Samsung Fascinate/Mesmerize, Droid Charge/Aviator). They had great screen quality and had thin/lightweight designs. But they had their fair share of battery issues and random/frustrating software glitches. These issues perhaps created a stigma amongst some smartphone buyers, reluctant to have the same issues if they ever purchased another Samsung device.
However, Samsung really started putting out great quality devices with the Galaxy S3; this was the defining moment for Samsung as a company going forward. The Galaxy S3 set the standard, and they have only gotten better with the S4, and now the S5. The S5 is hands down the best phone Samsung has ever released.
I have owned this device for several months now, and I have had not one single issue. It operates smoothly and flawlessly. It has an amazing camera - which has a variety of built-in features that are on par with, or better than, professional grade photography software/equipment. The S5 has brilliant/stunning screen quality - which provides a one-two punch with the camera (take great photos and view them on a fantastic screen). But it is also perfect for viewing videos, browsing the web, etc... Battery life is more than adequate, and even if I find myself in a situation where my battery is close to dying, I can extend my phone's usage with the Ultra Power Saving Mode... My phone is secure and safe, I have it locked with my fingerprint using the Fingerprint Scanner: which works extremely well, and has been a much faster and efficient way for me to unlock my phone... I was easily able to transfer my photos and files with support for external memory... There are some (at times) very useful hands-free Motions and Gestures that allow me to interact with my phone without touching it (scroll through my picture gallery while I'm eating at a restaurant, preview an email message without opening the full message, etc.)...There are many other factors that influence my positive opinion about this phone, these are just a few that stand out.
If you are looking for a high quality, flagship phone - and you want a device that will operate smoothly and reliably, and if you want access to a variety of useful features (simple or advanced), you will benefit from purchasing this phone.

Cons: charging port flap (weak), inadequate speaker volume when laid down face up
