This is cheap, and it should be

First use, the smell of burning electrical was apparent, so I'm guessing it won't last long. First time I washed the top to the chopper attachment (by hand, as was recommended) it filled with dishwater that won't come back out. Maybe it will come out next time I'm using it to chop something, though I don't think chopped almonds with dishwater will be a great combo. And speaking of chopping, it ran for a long time, but didn't do a very great job chopping a half cup of almonds. Uneven sizes, and the longer I ran it, the finer the almonds at the bottom became, without chopping the almonds on top any finer. Chopping attachment is too large -- but there are no other options for the purpose I needed it -- to chop small amounts of nuts or herbs.

You get what you pay for, and this is cheap. My motor died and started smoking, less than a year into it. It cannot blend much as the blade is not big enough.

Love this and buying the red one now

i bought the white one years ago ... now i am buying this red one but i need a new chopper blade for the white one ... the big container chopper blade ... so how much would a new one be .. the plastic that fits in the hand part snapped so i need a new part for that ... the wand part attachment is still in tact and working perfectly ...

I love my red immersion blender. Gave one to my best guy friend, and he loves it too.
When I bought this originally, I did not by the chopper attachment. How do I order just the attachment... as well as replacement racks, etc for my counter top oven?

This thing sucks

The first time I used the immersion blender, it was great. Don't try to use any other part of whatever comes with this product. I attempted to use the mixer and was unsuccessful in even getting the lid off of the container. The second time I used it, the locking pieces that locked all the attachments to the hand blender broke. So it's basically useless now.

Difficult to clean.

Nice, small, multi-functional tool, but at some point when we were cleaning it some water got trapped inside the lid of the food processor and we cannot get it out. This product has been hand washed only. We do not own a dishwasher. I feel like we cannot use the food processor function because the lid has stagnant water trapped inside- probably harboring bacteria and mold. We're disappointed.

Horrible, simply horrible. Hey Oster, when you make products, customers should be able to open and close them. I cannot open the lid. Biggest waste of my money.
