Bad choice

Purchased this item about 8 months ago and used only 5-6 times. When the lid of the chopper is washed it becomes waterlogged and there is no way to dry it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Blender/Chopper!!

I received this hand blender chopper for the sole purpose of reviewing it. It came packaged very nicely. It was a beautiful cherry red color. It looked really nice! It came with instructions on how to prepare for use but it did not have a recipe booklet like most blenders come with so that disappointed me. It was very easy to set up. It surprisingly chopped well. The pieces were mostly uniform in size. I threw in garlic as is. I had to quarter an onion before I could use it to chop it up. It worked surprisingly well!! I was pleasantly surprised. So glad I have this appliance to help me with my kitchen chores.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great blender, accessory came broken

I opened the blender and used it to make hollindaise and it worked great! But when I went to unpack the accessories the tall measuring cup with lid came chipped at the bottom and has pieces continuing to fall off. Can I get a replacement measuring cup?

Powerful unit!

I received this unit as a sample. The osterman immersion blender with chopper is a decent unit. It is equipped with a powerful 250 watt motor with variable speed control. Though it fits my hand well and is easy to operate, I question long term durability because of the type of plastic used. The rubber lids are not air tight for no good reason and operation is quite loud and somewhat labored. Overall it is a powerful handsome unit but I feel the components could have been of higher quality.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Blender and Food Chopper

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this blender as a sample and have tried it successfully for the past month. It is great for soups, purees and small food chopper jobs. It is ideal for a family of two like mine as it efficiently handles all the needed processes for a small family. It is easy to hold, easy to clean and great to give as wedding or holiday gifts too. The blender shaft detaches for great cleaning. It also comes with a loop for hanging on a hook.
The only problem I have experienced is that the chopper does not chop frozen ingredients.
Overall a great new addition to my kitchen appliances.

Thank you so much for your feedback! The FPSTHB26RDP-000 isn't really designed for frozen foods that much. I will recommend that everything be thawed before using it. Disappointing

I have a five year old Oster immersion blender which is absolutely a must have kitchen tool. I use it very often. I love it so much that I asked for another one to keep at our cabin. I am so disappointed! I used it for the first time last night. It was unbearably loud, hard to handle and in the end it had damaged the bottom of my soup pan. The soup that had simmered all day had to be thrown away for fear it had metal in it from the pan and the pan needs to be thrown away as well. This blender does not represent the usual quality that I associate with Oster.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Can't remove the food chopper lid!

I bought this a couple of years ago and have rarely used the immersion blender. Today I decided to use it and the food chopper container, but, after following directions for opening, have not been able to remove the lid. I have tried and tried, but this is not budging. Very, very frustrated. Will NEVER purchase and Oster again!

Comes Apart

I got this as a Christmas gift. I haven't used the chopper because I already have a chopper. I mostly use it for making malts. If you get to close to the bottom of the mixing glass or whatever your mixing your malt or shake in the suction pulls the blending rod right off. Then you have to put it back together and try again. Cheap plastic that can't stay locked to mix a simple malt.
