I also had the problem of the lid filling with water and no way for it to dry. Also the plastic part that holds the blade broke off and now it is unusable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible Product

Absolute garbage. Can't even get the lid off the chopping accessory because the cheap plastic is fused to the lid, there's no grip or ease to the container. The blades on the immersion blender are tiny and don't do a very efficient job. I bought it so I would have smoothies after surgery and now I'm screwed. Very sad this is the model I chose to buy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
