Only Good For One Use

I purchased this model. Used it once. Followed the instructions to a "t". Washed dried and stored for one month. Took it out an it didn't work. It's a zero star, worthless piece of trash.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This food processor does what is says it will. It is fast and relatively quiet when it comes to dicing and slicing food. Overall, the food processor seems durable and it is easy to use. I would definitely recommend to a friend. I received this product free in exchange for a review - all opinions are my own and reflect my personal experience with this food processor.

The Oster 10-cup food processor is really a marvelous product. Two of the first things I noticed where the suction cups on the bottom, which keeps it from moving during use, and the hideaway cord, which is helpful during storage. I had never used a food processor before so this was an adventure. I immediately started chopping nuts for future recipes, which it did perfectly. The next venture was making coleslaw using cabbage I had. I hate grating cabbage by hand, but this grated half of a head in no time at all. It also grated the carrots without the usual slicing of my fingers on the hand grater. I do wish it had measurements on the side of the main container so you know how much finished product you have. Aside from that it was very easy to use, extremely easy to clean up, very durable, and makes me dream of many more recipes to come. Thank you Oster for making such a great product.

A great food processor!

I have been looking for quite a while to replace my old food processor from years ago, finally I decided on this Oster 10 cup model. Out of the package, it impresses me. The food processor features a sturdy black base, along with polished bowl and lid; it looks high quality, stylish and professional. The instruction is straight forward, and the processor is very easy to assemble and operate. Although locking the bowl onto the base did take a couple of try and error. I have been using the processor for chopping vegetables and mixing salads, shredding potatoes and carrots for stir fry, and chopping garlic, ginger and jalapenos for side dishes. The chop/pulse function is my favorite. For most operations I only need to push the button for couple times. I still use my old processor to grind meat to avoid cross-contamination, but I sure wish I could use this brand new processor to do the job since it is very powerful! I still haven’t tried to use it to knead dough yet, but I will give it a try very soon to make some holiday cookies! All in all, the Oster 10 cup processor performed very well through out the days I used it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for an easy to use yet stylish, functional, powerful and high quality food processor. Asset to any kitchen

I was very pleased with this product. Having never used a food processor before I was a little hesitant to begin using it as I was unsure if its capabilities. That hesitancy faded quickly as I took it out of the box and assembled it quickly and easily. The quality of the components to this product struck me as well made and sturdy. From my first use, I found this to be easy to use, helpful in my cooking process and an asset to my kitchen. In no time at all I was chopping, slicing and dicing to my hearts content. I would seek out recipes where I could utilize this processor. Although the I have yet to use the kneading blade I feel confident that when I do it will work as flawlessly as the rest of the product. I did receive this product as a sample to test and review but I am so glad I did. I highly recommend this Oster 10 cup food processor.

Pleasantly Surprised!

The Oster 10 Cup Total Prep Food Processor really surprised me in a good way. When I opened the box and found that most of the unit was plastic (which is BPA free), I was skeptical at first. Note that the blades and motor are metal. But I have found the unit to be very durable and much lighter and easier to move and lift. I also like that the bottom of the unit has rubber suction cups to keep it in place and storage for the power cord. It was easy to get started using the unit because the manual is very well written and thorough and includes great diagrams. The manual also includes a very helpful guide for chopping, shredding, slicing and kneading. It was easy to assemble, take apart and clean- up was easy. So far, I have used it to chop and shred for coleslaw, salsa and guacamole and the results were great. The large size bowl and the food pushers, which double as measuring cups made the process fast and easy. I give it a 5 star rating because it exceeded my expectations in performance and durability. In my opinion this machine is convenient and versatile for everyday use and a must have for every kitchen. Please note that I did receive this product as a sample to review.

Excellent, easy to use food processor

I was excited to get the Oster 10 Cup Total Prep Food Processor, as the only food processor I have ever had was a fairly cheap product. I have been blown away (in a good way). The cord is long enough for me to move it wherever I need it on the counter. It also has suction cups on the bottom, to keep it in place. This feature alone is amazing. As for the appearance, it is a very attractive appliance that I don’t mind leaving out on my counter for people to see. I love the black and silver together. Now for actual use: I have chopped nuts, carrots, lettuce, etc and everything has been superfast, efficient, and cut everything exactly the way I wanted. I have already saved so much time using this product that I can’t believe it. I am now looking for recipes that will utilize the food processor which I have never done before. I absolutely love the ease of use with this appliance. I would recommend the Oster 10 Cup Total Food Prep Processor to everyone! Whether you cook everything from scratch all the time or are someone who wants to get in and out of the kitchen as fast as possible, this product is for you. This is a durable, attractive, and easy-to-use product that would make anyone happy. I did receive this as a sample to try for free, but was determined not to let that influence my opinion of the product. I would happily purchase this product without hesitation.

Great for beginner cooks!

This Oster Total Prep Food Processor is quite easy to use right out of the box. Great for slicing & chopping. A plus: it actually fits nicely on the counter and under the cabinets! Stable on high speed due to the suction cup feet. good for the beginner cook venturing into the food processor realm. Received this processor to review.
