Does not work

I needed a food processor since I was going to make pies today. Unboxed it, got it ready, put all my ingredients in it and plugged it in. Went to turn it on and.....nothing! It didn't work, not even a noise. Tried a different plug just in case, nope. Still nothing. I had to take all my ingredients out and make my dough by hand. Definitely taking it right back to the store today! Waste of time and money. I am not going to purchase this product again. I'm just going to go with the brand I can always count on. Kitchen Aid, never lets me down.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

i just bought this and used it this morning but I find the slicer is way too thin for my needs so will return it and buy a betteer brand.

Broken cup

I received this product as a gift. Have used it frequently as myself and my daughter have alot of food allergies and eat alot of veggies. I was using my food processor recently and the cup cracked and broke. I have looked every where for a replacement and can not find one any where. Would not recommend this product

Beware... no replacement parts are available

Processor worked fine, until disc stem snapped after very little use. NO replacement part available. you can just garbage the entire unit and buy a brand that actually provides replacement parts

Great Product

Review of the Oster Total Prep 10-Cup Food Processor. Received the Food Processor delivery on-time on the date expected. Opening the package - all the packing material looks secure and box was undamaged during shipping. All parts were included with several parts requiring assembly to complete the unit. After unpacking, the Food Processor was assembled without using the instructions. Assembly was very straight forward and everything went together very well with no issues. Great looking unit with large bowl, good size food chute, measuring cup food pusher, and easy to work, secure bowl locking mechanism - all great features, but my favorite is the suction feet that hold the unit securely to the counter while using. Next up - testing the Oster Food Processor with some utility features and some of our favorite recipes. For what I’m calling the utility features, we sliced and diced several different vegetables that we sealed and put in the freezer. The Oster worked great for this process. This is an important feature for us as we take fresh garden items, chop them, freeze them, then we take out what is needed during the year for meals. The Oster provided a perfect consistency of the vegetables in whatever size we needed based on length of time pulsed. Vegetables included were tomatoes, celery, several types of peppers, garlic, and onions. Next up, we chopped some dried bread to make a crumb mixture to be used in dishes such as meatloaf. The Oster Food Processor continued to perform well in all tasks and provided us with the expected results in each test. Lastly, we used the Oster to create a tomato salsa and squash soup. The Food Processor was used to chop all the individual ingredients, then mix them all together as a final step. Not only was it able to quickly chop and combine everything needed, must faster than manually, the taste of the final products were fantastic !! We’re very happy with our Oster Total Prep 10-Cup Food Processor and give it a 5 out of 5 stars !! Additional note: Received this product to test and review.

Decent processor

I received this product ato try for review. So I was not able to comparison-shop between other models as this was shipped to me. Total Prep is intended to be used for slicing, shredding, mixing, kneading dough and chopping but didn't try kneading dough. The instructions are decent, including a chart of what foods can be chopped, sliced, or shredded. The unit itself is pretty light, but there are suction cups to hold it to the counter/table. So it doesn't slide all over the counter. This is my first food processor as to using an old-school salad shooter I mandolin slicer so it's a bit bulkier for me and more cleaning overall It does a relatively good job for an inexpensive chopper/food processor.
I would recommend this to a friend!
