Worked great for awhile

I’ve only used my 10 cup food processor maybe 10 times and now the plastic where the bowl locks to the base is broken. I’ve tried to find just a replacement bowl to purchase, but can’t find anything. Now I’m left with a wasted base and have to buy a whole new food processor. I won’t be buying another Oster.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Broke on 3rd use

I had the same problems as the others. Just bought this in July. Making cookies for Christmas, when we opened it my daughter found a hunk of plastic. I couldn't figure out where it came from at first. Finally discovered that it broke at the bottom center where the attachment rod is. Completely useless. Had to throw the ingredients out since we had no way of knowing if there could be little pieces of plastic in there as well. This was a replacement of my husband's GRANDMOTHERS processor. THAT one lasted over 40 years. The new one? 5 months! They just aren't made Luke they used to be. I have no idea if I can buy just the bowl part or not (and if it would even be worth it). It's poorly made and designed. Not worth the money.

Pretty good processor, but impossible to clean

We've used this processor for over a year now and it works okay. The cutting is uneven and you never know if you're going to get mush or big pieces (or both). The biggest problem we have is all the food stuck in the lid. There is no way to clean this? It's molding and is pretty disgusting -- seems like a terrible design.

Would not buy again

Broken part, bad quality

The part in the picture got broken after a few use and we're now unable to use the product because that piece serves as a safety lock. Moreover, I am unable to find the replacement part on the website.

Same design flaw. Easy fix.

I had the same little plastic part break off as many reviewers here. I cut a piece of cork just about the same size as the piece that broke off, a little wider. I pushed it into the slot on the motor piece to hold the spring down. The compressive quality of the cork holds it in place. Now it works fine. Just be so careful cutting a cork, they can be slippery, Use a serrated knife.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Terrible Part Replacement

I bought this product over 2 years ago. About 1.5 years ago, so ~6 months after I bought it, my housemate accidently ruined the disc stem. The food processor cannot operate without this part as it is what the blades attach to. The part has been on factory backorder this entire time with no timetable for its availability.
