I was given this as a gift from my mother in law and feel like it must be wired incorrectly. When I turn it on warm or low it cooks the food so hot it burns it (I have used it recently for work potlucks because I love the locking lid). Within 2 hours of being on low the meatballs they were a blackened charred mess. Another day I put homemade mashed potatoes in there and I put it on keep warm and they had completely liquified within 4 hours. I didn’t know potatoes could liquify. Which I had contributed it to possible user error and not putting on low or warm like I had intended. Yesterday I pulled it out to use for a party and I turned it on high to heat my baked beans up and they were barely warm by the time the party started an hour and half later. Which I was home with and ensuring that it was on the correct high setting. So now I am sure it’s a defect.

Bought name brand thinking it would be the best and so disappointed in this product. The warm setting makes it boil then burn. Would never purchase again.

Ive had this for 2 years . I don't use it too often but I used it today and came home to serve dinner i found the pot cracked. I was lucky I used a liner because my house probably would've caught on fire.

Purchased model CPSCVC70LLEC-DS at Christmas 2024. The ceramic liner broke in half after I had finished cooking chicken and noodles. I did not drop the liner. I cannot find a replacement for this crock pot.

OK but not he best
on March 10, 2015

Got this as a Christmas gift and its OK, not the best crock pot I have ever had. This unit gets WAY to hot, even on low. I have never ever in my life burnt a meal in a crock pot until using this one. Everything needs to be cooked on low and the suggested cook time decreased. The warm setting actually seems to be higher than the low one. My soup started boiling after being set to warm. The plastic clamps on the lid are very weak. I have used it twice with no issues, but he third time i tried to lock the lid one of the plastic brackets snapped in half...I definitely will not be buying another of this model once this one needs to be replaced (which, at this rate, will prob be very soon).
Cons: cheap plastic parts, gets way to hot

We just got this new one, as a replacement for one that got damaged in moving. We have used it once. It did a perfect job on cooking a pot roast. It worked as described and was easy to clean up. Easy cleanup is a big part of the 5 stars.
We like the locking handles so the food can be transported in the container, with out too much worry about spills enroute.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We asked for and received this crock-pot for Christmas. The first time we used it, we noticed that when we turned it from high to medium that the contents continued to boil, even after an hour. We thought maybe it was a fluke and tried it again. We turned from high to warm after a couple hours and came back 45 minutes later to find the contents still boiling. We thought it must be a flaw with this one unit, but after coming on to the website, I'm seeing that this must be a manufacture error because many reviews state the same issue. I would not recommend this crock pot. We are unable to return it from where it was purchased (because of the lapsed time from purchase to use and discovering it is bad). We will be throwing this practically new appliance away.
Pros: looks nice
Cons: tempature control, cooks on high tempature regardless of setting
