One of these was gifted to us for our wedding brand new. We used it five times or so over the course of 3 months. When we plugged it in today, it was completely dead. And there is no easy way to open it up to fix any issues.

Hairline crack in stonewear after first use

My pot got a hairline crack after the first use and now leaks when I use it. I tried to find a replacement but there aren't any available. My only option is to buy a brand new pot. Not happy.
Cons: stonewear doesn't hold up., no replacement parts available.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this crock-pot as a wedding shower gift. To say I am HIGHLY disappointed is an understatement. Everything I have cooked in this crock-pot ends up burnt! I thought I would give it another chance today. MISTAKE. My husband came home on lunch and I asked him to check the beef stew I put in on LOW (10Hr) this morning. He called to tell me that it is burnt!!! I have made pork chops, they burnt. I have made a pot roast, it burnt, and now the beef stew is ruined. I am very unhappy with this product. I have had to throw away so much food due to this crock-pot that the crock-pot itself is going in the trash today.

Thank you for providing your comments. We recommend that you always fill your slow cooker at least 2/3 to 3/4 of the way full, including at least one cup of liquid or sauce. You may have to adjust your cook times accordingly, especially if you are using older Crock-Pot® slow cooker recipes, or adapting regular recipes for Crock-Pot® slow cooker use. Please contact us using the link below. For faster response time, we encourage you to live chat with us at the link below from 8:00am to 8:00pm, EST, Monday thru Saturday. Too hot

I bought this brand because my first 2 slow cookers were Crock Pots. I gave one to my mother and the stoneware on the second broke so I decided to get fancy and get one with a timer. My first 2 Crock Pots behaved similarly. This one, after first use is being returned. A meal that always took no less than 6 hours to cook was almost done after 3.5 hours on low. I changed the setting to keep warm. I checked 1 hour later and it was now boiling and the meal was burned on the sides and bottom. I've never seen anything boil in a slow cooker. Again, this was the warm setting. The outside of the appliance was too hot to touch. I saw where Crock Pot responded to another reviewer that the newer models do operate at higher temps but never acknowledged the flaw of the warm setting being hotter than low. This is a DEFECT, not a feature of a new product.
Pros: looks good, timer, locking/sealed lid
Cons: not a slow cooker

Thank you for your feedback as it is greatly appreciated. We want to ensure that you are enjoying the benefits of your slow cooker and we are happy to assist you with it. Our new slow cookers have the heating element around the circumference of the slow cooker. This cooks the food more evenly. Thought it was me

I purchased the crock pot 2 years ago and the meals that I made with them did not turn out good. I was really disappointed because I have talked to others who have cooked with crock pots and have had such success. I thought the problem was just me and that I would never have a good meal from a crock pot. So I stopped using the crock pot and was going to give it Goodwill. Just for kicks I looked at the comments about the crock pot and the comments match the problem that I am having. So I guess I bought the wrong crock pot.
Pros: the size was good.
Cons: food never seems to cook in the time alloted

Ruined food every time

This crock pot has overcooked each meal I've tried to prepare. Nothing irritates me more than wasted/ruined food.

Thank you for your review as it is greatly appreciated. All of our current slow cookers do cook at higher temperature settings than our old ones. The keep warm setting is approximately 165 – 170 degrees F. Both the low & high settings cook at 215 degrees F., but they cycle differently. Therefore, the high setting will still cook the food in a shorter period of time than the low setting will. Please remember that these are all approximate temperatures and they can vary depending on what you are cooking. It can also boil on high and low. We do recommend that you always fill your slow cooker at least 2/3 - 3/4 of the way full, including at least one cup of liquid or sauce. You may have to adjust your cook times accordingly, especially if you are using older slow-cooker recipes, or adapting regular recipes for slow cooker use. This will prevent the food from drying out and burning.
We want to ensure that you are enjoying the full benefits of the slow cooker and we are happy to help you with it. For assistance, please call us at 1-800-323-9519; Monday through Saturday from 8 AM to 8 PM, EST.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased this crock pot. I wish I would have read the reviews first. The second time I used it, the ceramic cracked. It is now useless. Very frustrating!

I have two of these units, I loved my first one so much I got a second one for Thanksgiving this past year to make holiday prep easier. Well... Come New Years, my fiancé was helping with the dishes and dropped one of the ceramic inserts on our tile floor. I was bummed out but mistakes happen. Tonight my Boxer dog yanked the other one off the counter while I was sleeping! Dog is fine, but Crock Pot insert and lid are broken. Can I please purchase replacement ceramic inserts and a lid? I can't find them anywhere! I love these units so much for home cooking and potlucks at work, I need my crock pot back!!! Please help. Thanks Crock Pot!
