Temperatures are backward!

I have tried several times to make meals with this slow cooker. They have almost always burned unless I happen to be home and can turn it off first. I noticed that it would "boil" while on the warm setting. I decided to put cold water in it and turn it on warm for 1 hour. I checked the temp with a meat thermometer and it was 170
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

All of our current slow cookers do cook at higher temperature settings than our old ones. The keep warm setting is approximately 165 – 170 degrees F.

Waste of money!

After using this for a few months and it burning my food every time, no matter what tricks I tried, the stoneware finally cracked on its own! I did nothing to it. Just cooked a meal and when I lifted it by the handles, I heard a pop and noticed a crack at the top. I touched it, a triangle chunk came off. I took the food out and rinsed it, the crack went down the side and did a circle around the whole bottom part which leads me to believe that this was poorly made. Now I'm in the market for a new 7 quart crock pot but I'm nervous as I'm apparently not the only one with these issues! I love this brand, I just can't believe how miserably this item failed for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointing!

I've used Crockpot brand crockpots all my adult life. I am so disappointed in this one. The oval insert has cracked, first a hairline crack that couldn't be seen but when you removed the insert some of the liquids had leaked out. Purchased the plastic inserts to hold me over until the item was back in stock. Now there is a crack a LARGE crack that can't be ignored. Even though it saddens me to have to switch from one of my favorite product brands, I feel after reading other reviews, I am not alone. Time to try something new. Save your money!

From Happy to Disappointed

I have used crockpots since my early married years (late 70's). The only time I bought a new one was for a larger size, or new features. The old ones were passed along to family members who didn't have one, to church kitchens, or Goodwill - because they still worked beautifully. Three years ago, I treated myself to a large oval crockpot that was programmable to up to 12 hours. This was perfect for me and my work schedule. Within a year, a fine crack developed in the bottom, near the edge. I'm a work-around kind of person, so I just used plastic liners so I could continue using this cooker with all the features I need. Well, now, the crack is so large, the vessel is no longer stable and is unable to hold together. I have never had a crockpot die on me - and I'm sorry to see that the quality of the brand is no longer what it once was. I'll be looking for another product this week.

Disappointed in stoneware

I've had this crockpot for about a year and loved it....right up until the stoneware cracked. I've had different crockpots throughout my adult life and have never had the stoneware crack like that. I don't see the replacement crock for this unit on the site so I guess I will be forced to buy another. This was my first Crock-Pot brand crock pot so I think given this issue I'll go back to one of the other brands I've used.

Worst Crock Pot Owned

I haven't had this Crock Pot for a year and already, the stoneware is cracked in an arc across the bottom. I'm tremendously careful with my kitchen ware, especially this stoneware. Upon seeing others' comments about crack, I believe the issue to be in the craftsmanship of the stone. What's up w/ this?

I bought this for a chili cook-off since I was entering red and green chili so I needed two crock pots and only had one. I loved this because of the locking lid which my other did not have. No spills and no worries.
