I've had this crock pot for a couple years have used it 3 times. The temp settings seam to be mixed up on the unit when on high it seems not to be heating up enough to cook the food but when on low or warm it will come to a boil quickly I don't use it much because of this problem I'm afraid of burning my house down if I leave it on especially when on the warm setting what help can you give me on this matter ?

Thank you so much for the review. We want to ensure that you are enjoying the full benefits of the slow cooker and we are happy to help you with it. For assistance, please call us at 1-800-323-9519; Monday through Saturday from 8 AM to 8 PM, EST.
Both the low and high settings will reach a maximum temperature of approximately 215 degrees Fahrenheit, but they cycle differently in that the low setting cycles off of that temperature more frequently. Therefore, the High setting will still cook the food in a shorter period of time than the Low setting will. On the warm setting, your Crock-Pot™ slow cooker will be between 165 degrees and 175 degrees Fahrenheit. Please remember that these are all approximate temperatures and they can vary depending on what you are cooking. The Crock-Pot slow cooker can also boil on High and Low. We do recommend that you always fill your slow cooker at least 2/3 - 3/4 of the way full, including at least one cup of liquid or sauce. You may have to adjust your cook times accordingly, especially if you are using older Crock-Pot recipes, or adapting regular recipes for Crock-Pot use. This will prevent the food from drying out and burning.

I purchased this crock pot about a year ago. Loved it at 1st... But as others have complained, after the 5th or 6th use cracked down the center (no extreme temperature changes) used a couple times after but can no longer use. It holds moisture and there for molds. Disgusted with this product.

I bought this and I'm so sorry I did. The low temperature is lower than warm. On warm my food comes to a boil. This is a total waste of money.

Just ok

The crockpot is just ok. The insert moves WAY too much when you stir. Almost like it is too small for the base. I really wouldn't recommend this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use my smart pot for cooking and serving meatballs at parties. I can just put everything in and don't have to worry about the results and can concentrate on other preparations. In fact I go ahead and place it on the buffet and don't even have to move it before the party starts.
Pros: convenient

I received this crock-pot for Christmas 2 weeks ago from my teenage boys and I am VERY unhappy with it. With that being said, they feel bad that they wasted their allowance money on this item. The High and low settings are so messed up. You can't possibly use it on a low setting, the low setting heats up just as hot as the high setting does. I have used it 3 times and it constantly heats on HIGH and when I get home my meal is burned! This is extremely dangerous to leave on without having someone attending it. DO NOT BUY THIS CROCK-POT

Disappointed :(

I received this crock-pot for Christmas and was soo excited to use it. My excitement quickly faded once I used the unit. No matter what setting it is on (high, low or warm) the food boils. I've used it twice on chili and soup and it performed the same way both times. Very disappointed that I will have to go find another slow cooker

Thank you for your feedback as it is greatly appreciated. We are constantly working on improving our products and will forward your comments to our product team.
All of our current slow cookers do cook at higher temperature settings than our old ones. The keep warm setting is approximately 165 – 170 degrees F. Both the low & high settings cook at 215 degrees F., but they cycle differently. Therefore, the high setting will still cook the food in a shorter period of time than the low setting will. Please remember that these are all approximate temperatures and they can vary depending on what you are cooking. It can also boil on high and low. We do recommend that you always fill your slow cooker at least 1/2 - 3/4 of the way full with liquid or sauce, and you may also have to adjust your cook times accordingly. This will prevent the food from drying out and burning.
If you believe that your unit is cooking at too high of a temperature, please call us at 1-800-323-9519; Monday through Saturday from 8 AM to 8 PM, EST.
