[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately our insert (the heavy solid portion) cracked while cooking chicken. When cooled down to investigate, liquid had leaked through to the bottom of the receptacle. Got this as a gift for our wedding, pretty bummed.
Definitely cooks very hot, as well as, the latches on the side both came loose and fell off. This all happened in a year and a half.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Convinced it is wired incorrectly

I was given this as a gift from my mother in law and feel like it must be wired incorrectly. When I turn it on warm or low it cooks the food so hot it burns it (I have used it recently for work potlucks because I love the locking lid). Within 2 hours of being on low the meatballs they were a blackened charred mess. Another day I put homemade mashed potatoes in there and I put it on keep warm and they had completely liquified within 4 hours. I didn’t know potatoes could liquify. Which I had contributed it to possible user error and not putting on low or warm like I had intended. Yesterday I pulled it out to use for a party and I turned it on high to heat my baked beans up and they were barely warm by the time the party started an hour and half later. Which I was home with and ensuring that it was on the correct high setting. So now I am sure it’s a defect.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It is my favorite pot ever! It can stew all kinds of food you want. and can keep hot. it saves my time a lot. As for cleaning it after cooking, it's very quick to remove residue from the pot. Overall I'm satisfied with it

I love my Crockpot

I love my crock pot! It is so versatile and I can cook almost anything in it. I love to cook roast, deserts, and so many other things. I like that I can add ingredients, go to work and when I come home I have dinner waiting.
