Cooks well, but the insert cracked and leaks

I bought this crockpot and it works well except I started noticing that there was leaking from the crockpot on the counter. It took me a while to determine that it was coming from a hairline crack in the ceramic insert. I cannot find a replacement and don’t want to replace the entire unit. My previous slow cooker lasted 25 years.

Not the quality I thought it would be!

The first time I used it, the smell was awful. I assumed that it was just because it was new and would go away. I have used it several times in the past six months, and the smell is still awful. The insert is too small for it. It moves from side to side and back and forth every time I try to stir anything. I expected better quality from the crock pot name.

Runs very hot.

The lid does not seal so it leaks. Runs very hot even on low and keep it warm it will boil my food. I have burnt food do to no temperature control.

I really loved this crockpot until it just stopped heating. I’ve only had this about a year and a half. I only use occasionally too. I filled my crockpot to use one day. Programmed it to cook on low for 5 hrs and left it. Luckily I was home and checked on it. Did not heat at all. Tried different settings and turning it off and on and it just wasn’t hot. Not even warm.

won't last as long as your old one did

Cooking was fine, which is the minimum you want from an appliance that cooks. Lid breaks easily and is not replaceable. Crock Pot would not sell me a new lid, even though the pot still worked. On principal, I didn't want to throw out a pot that was working fine, so I paid a lot to buy a new lid online. Now, a year later, the electronics in the pot are no longer working. Next time I guess I'll go for the old fashioned manual controls.

Works twice then not at all

I received this as a Christmas present around 3 years ago. I've used it twice since then with no issues, and today when I had already put in all of the ingredients and went to turn it on, there was no power no matter the outlet that I used. There's no visible damage to any of the components, and I've tried every outlet in my kitchen. All of my other appliances power on just fine, it's JUST the Crockpot.
This is so disappointing, as I've only used it TWICE since getting it. The condition is pretty much brand new. I can't find any information online to fix it, and customer support isn't available on Sunday. I have no other means of cooking right now, so I had to throw away all of my ingredients, which wasn't cheap for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

COOKS TOO HOT!

I've only used a few times, but everytime it has overcooked, no matter what the setting. Everything gets to boiling no matter how long or what setting; even on warm! Food is always scalding hot. I thought maybe mine was defective, but it appears from these review that it is a serious and very dangerous issue with all of them! I thought this was a reliable product; lesson learned :( Be cautious of burning yourself.

Do not waste your money

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish I could give this zero stars. I received this as a replacement for the Safe crock pot that burnt everything no matter what setting you use. I have attempted to use this crock pot twice and am experiencing the same issues. No matter what setting I use, burnt to a crisp is how my food comes out. I cannot afford to continue to trust this brand. I attempted to upload a video but the option would not work using my phone. The video showed that the cooker was on low and the gravy was literally boiling. Even on high, it shouldn't boil.

Hello!

On your slow cooker, both High and Low stabilize at the same temperature 209°F; it is just a matter of how long it takes to reach the simmer point.

The unit can also boil on High and Low. We do recommend that you always fill your slow cooker 1/2 - 3/4 of the way full, including at least one cup of liquid or sauce. You may have to adjust your cook times accordingly, especially if you are using older slow cooker recipes, or adapting regular recipes for slow cooker use. This will prevent the food from drying out and burning.
