Possibly a design defect in wiring?!

The electrical cord is burnt completely down to the wire inside the cord. I've used it as directed and don't understand how this happened. I'm afraid to use it, of course, and it could have burnt down our house.

Cooks WAY too HOT!!!

I've tried multiple things to see if they would work. NOPE!!! I just cooked a rack of ribs on LOW (Recipe call for 4 hours on HIGH). After an hour and a half, you can't even touch the outside of the pot without burning yourself, the full rack was done, and it's a good thing I was home through the whole process or it may have started a FIRE. Will NEVER buy this brand again!!! I'll just stick to my INSTANT POT since it can be used as a slow cooker too!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worse slow cooker I have ever bought

We bought this 6 months ago and I have yet have it cook anything properly. The contents never get to cooking temperature. I tried to cook a pot roast in it and after 8 hours the meat was still very tough. DO NOT PURCHASE

Smells after a while

A few years ago I bought a similar model, some extra features, and after about 4-6 uses it started to smell. I found out it was because of the seal on the lid. It made the whole thing smell awful, I had to throw it away! It is great for portability and cooks well, but the smell is unacceptable. (btw, it happened after making pot roast, so nothing crazy)

Very disappointed

I purchased this crock pot maybe 3 months ago. The first time it cooked the food too fast and ended up burning it. I just cooked collard greens today on high, and after 10 hours they still were not done.
