This a great Crock Pot, however the handles should have labels warning NOT to cook with then locked. The manual advises not to cook with them locked, but really, who reads the manuals. Wife locked lid, which eventually blew the handle on top completely off and shards of glass everywhere.
The locking handles should have sticker on them warning not to lock when cooking. It's a lawsuit waiting to happen IMO.

Lid design

I bought this pot a month ago when the knob broke on my old one. I was happy to find this one because of the locking lid. So I used it for the first time this past week and found that someone who designed this pot did not think about the consequences when they put a vent hole in the lid just a few inches from the center handle. The steam come through the hole and without thinking I reached to remove the lid and got a burn on the palm of my hand. Sorry but this was not a good design. I had put aluminum foil over the hole because releasing the steam was something new and I felt it would make my dish too thick, and I forgot when I opened it. So if one is available I wish Crock Pot would send me another lide without the hole because getting burned when I use it is NOT an option I want in a slow cooker.

I bought this three months ago, I've only used it twice. The crock doesn't fit right ,it moves constantly. It's like it's too small. The other day, I went to lock the handles down & the latch on the lid snapped off. I have always loved my Crock Pot products, but, this one is a real piece of junk. Very disappointed in the Crock Pot Brand!!

My lid seems very flimsy and cheap. Everything rattles and seems loosely attached. Just recently we noticed that metal wire part of the latch is missing so we can’t latch on one side. How do I replace that? Or do you have a better quality lid to replace?

During the FIRST use of our crockpot, the screws in the lid came right out. Tried to buy a replacement lid and it’s not available online. So disappointed. I’ve always loved CrockPot.

I've used my new Crock-Pot five or so times now. Hasn't let me down yet and I like the digital timer feature. I'm excited to use the locking lid for when we bring food to a party.

We had many slow cookers. But this slow cooker was the best. Easy to program and to clean. Food always comes out great. I use it at least once a week for the last 4 years. Only one thing wrong the ceramic insert is a little heavy when cleaning. We have purchase 3 of these units for family
