[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this a few weeks ago and didn't recognize the sound it makes while running. Called the service guy and let him listen and he assured me everything was fine. Totally different sound than any machine I've had before, quiet though.

Saves energy and water.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This model replaces a GE washer I had for 12 years. Advantages: The new Whirlpool is energy efficient and saves water. It has "traditional agitation". It has bleach and fabric softener dispensers. It seems to wash well. Disadvantages: It is very, very noisy- primarily because of the water sensing action. It lacks a second rinse option. I really liked to use the second rinse in my old machine because it gets all the detergent out and rinses well after the fabric softener, avoiding fabric softener build up and leaving the fabric soft. (I do not use more detergent or fabric softener than recommended.) As a chemist, I know that 2 smaller rinses are more effective than one larger volume rinse. It has a deep water option but not just for the rinse and if I use the deep water option for both wash and rinse, I am not saving much water.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Note: "Your Rating" is ambiguous: do you pick one, if so what is highest, what is lowest? Or do you pick as many stars as you think appropriate? A little more explanation would be a better aid to someone other than the one who designed this page. I actually like the product. The only detail that's less than optimum is that the machine is a little more noisy that I expected. Note: my stars = pretty good product. Add a note: click as many stars as you rate the product higher?
