Affordable option

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a replacement washer ASAP after my 3 year old(!) Whirlpool top load washer stopped working appropriately. Of course the limited 1 year warranty was expired. The issue with the first washer, as was explained to me, was the computer panel. The panel needed to be replaced. However, due to limited availability and no guarantee of timely availability for a new panel, I opted to buy a new washer. After research and recommendations from repair & sales staff (both promoted another product) I decided to purchase another Whirlpool top loader. Major deciding factors were price, good performance of my previous whirlpool washer and the availability of an affordable extended warranty. I’m sad to say that the new washer does not perform as well as the first. It has a lot of vibration during spin cycles regardless of setting selected. That is my honest and disappointed review. I don’t know if any corrections or resolution can be made. My hectic life-style has not afforded me the opportunity to follow up on this issue. Bottom line, I’m glad I purchased the extended warranty because I believe it will be useful in the not too distant future.

Didn’t work when it was delivered

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first time we tried to do laundry, the machine wouldn’t agitate. Was never able to do laundry once before a repair man was called. This washer was a replacement for the same model that wouldn’t spin on delivery. Aren’t there any quality checks before sale of the product?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Washer leaks hot water through the valve Need to get it serviced out of the box. Guess quality control is not what it used to be.

Can't soak!!!

My brothers and sisters bought this washer for our sister who was having a difficult time, and just needed a break, she works HARD, clothes get dirty! We find out now that there is no way to stall the washing so that her clothes can soak!! That was so important to her, and the booklet wasn't in the washer when we went to look at it in the store. We all just assumed that with any washer soaking would be an option. Even if she turns it off it drains after 10 minutes. As well it doesn't seem to give the clothes a vigorous washing. It really isn't for anyone who works at a job where their clothes get dirty. Disappointed.

Do Not like this washer at all

Bought this washer in October. I hate that it now takes an hour or more to wash 1 load, can't select the water level myself. I think it uses more water and more electricity than my old washer. When I add bleach without diluting it, as instruction manual indicates, I end up with bleach spots on my towels and sheets.
