Not the greatest...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The control panel failed on the 1st WTW4616FW replacement.Intermittently, the start button would not work. We were told the washer was computing the weight (which was explained could take up to 4-minutes to figure out) of the load prior to adding water, but that was not the case. We were forced to unplug the washer, wait a minute, plug it back in and hope it "reset." This did not always work.After, a few calls to the retailer, the control board was replaced. That did not work and the washer was replaced. The 2nd replacement, has only done this once on the last 30-days.We thought is was our power/outlet, but that was checked and working correctly.I would not recommend this model. The load weighing process is not right.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fantastic Washer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this washer a couple of weeks ago and are totally happy we did. It does a great job washing the clothes. The machine is the perfect size for our laundry closet. The selection of water temperatures and cycles are perfect. The spin cycle has a different speed depending on the wash cycle you choose. Since we do not have a dryer and hang things up on normal wash it gets things almost dry. It also is very quiet which was a nice surprise. It has a very nice sleek design so not only does it work good it looks nice as well. Definitely can't say enough good things about this washer and am very happy we purchased it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Unsatisfactory

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this machine now for approx. 7 weeks. It's a replacement for the first one delivered 2 weeks before. I thought there was a defect as the first machine vibrated so severely on the spin cycle banging against the dryer and back/side of the wall. But the second machine does exactly the same even after a technician came to ensure that the machine was properly balanced. The machine is noisy when filling (it makes a strange grunting noise) and is especially noisy on the spin cycle. It's so bad I have to shut the door to the laundry room. Also I don't like the fact that I can't add detergent or clothing when the water is running. As soon as I open the lid the water stops. I really miss my GE of 26 years and am sorry that I didn't try and have the small leak repaired, the first and only problem, I ever had with it. The dryer was still in perfect working order so I was able to give it away. I honestly don't know what to do with the vibration. I recently checked out a number of different washers and have noticed that the inner drum moves around at the touch of a finger in all of them including the Whirlpool model that I am using. It seems like this is a general feature in these newer machines. The drum in my old GE was fairly solid and didn't move. In any case I'm extremely disappointed in how this machine functions and am especially concerned about the vibration. It really is quite violent. Because of this I'm worried that the pipe leading into the wall where the water drains into from the hose at the back of the machine may become dislodged. Whirlpool, do you have any comments about this. I would welcome any solutions. By the way,the house I live in is only 12 years old so there is no problem with the floor being sloped at an angle causing the machine to be unbalanced.

fairly simple

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] bought by 96 year old and only used for a few loads so far. says it shakes quite a bit. seems the tubmoves around really easily . will watch it when she washes next loads. It is fairly simple but will takesome time for her to get use to it. Don't like the feature that if lid is left open for 10 min while in the wash cycle it will drain the water.... if she needs to stop and go to the washroom or answer the phone 10 minutes is a very short time and she will lose her water soap and be confused as to what to do now. I don't understand the need for this feature. Anyway as of now it has not been used enough to make any valuable comments
