[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 2 year old LG side by side refrigerator stopped cooling on both sides (freezer/fridge). A trained LG technician came to my home and determined I had a bad compressor. He worked late and completed the job free of charge (covered under warranty). I have worked in the HVAC industry for 20 years and I noticed a few things that led me to believe this was a common problem for LG refrigerators. If I were to guess LG possibly had a bad batch of TXVs (Thermal expansion valves) or compressors. This is something to definitely consider if and when you buy a used LG fridge. I’m sure they have addressed this issue on new LG refrigerators.

I bought this product on 05/2018, never had problem, but 2 weeks, the fridge stoped to colling so I called to LG costumer service and 2 days after the fridge was fixed and with zero cost for me. Great product and costumer service.

Refrigerator only four years old and the compressor went bad. Luckily it is a 10 year warranty on the compressor but I am still waiting for my refund check.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this just over 4 years ago. For the most part, it's been working great. The ice maker died on us about 3 months ago and we had to replace that, but it was a fairly simple fix. Then a couple weeks ago the compressor gave out. But we were able to get it fixed through the warranty and LG even compensated us for lost food. The customer service throughout that process was great.

The service experience has been terrible so far. I had throw out all the food in my fridge and refrigerator because servicing days days to even look at the fridge. Now I have to wait for the technician to order a compressor and who knows when the fridge will actually get fixed. First and last LG fridge purchase for me.

The compressor in this refrigerator broke after 4 years. LG was good about replacing it free of charge and their service tech was great.
