This fridge worked for 3 years before having a catastrophic failure thats not covered under warranty. The appliance repair man told me it is very common for LG refrigerators to have this issue after a couple of years. I would recommend looking at other options. Don’t be lured in by the features and the low price. You get what you pay for

Mine is a door in a door model

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought when we built our home in 2018. Loved the door in doo feature and worked fine until Feb. 28, 2022 then the cooling unit went out. Today is March 12 and we are still without a fridge. It is to be repaired as it is under warranty. It took 11 days just to get a tech here to concur with the smart diagnosis that the cooling unit is shot. Part ordered and we have a March 31 date for install. We are living with 20lbs of ice in fridge to try and keep things cold (especially medications) and all freezer stuff will need to be replaced! Extra expenses this senior citizen can NOT AFFORD!

Never Again!

Bought this side by side 2yrs ago and I've had nothibg but problems. The motherboard and the compresser and coils also stopped working. Repair guys says this will need to be replaced ever 6mos and thats its a known issue.

Although I purchased an extended warranty I am still waiting for it to be repaired. Parts are back ordered. Seems like newer LG fridges are not so good. My previous LG fridge was still working 13 years later.
