Good toast

We purchased this unit to replace an older Black and Decker toaster oven mounted under our kitchen cabinet. The mounting system has changed completely and is much harder to work with, but I managed to install the new mount with some difficulty. The toaster per se works fine and has given us no problems.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Do not buy

So I buy a space saver under cabinet toaster oven, thinking I could mount it under the cabinet and save space, right? Wrong. I should have been suspicious when I saw it had feet on it—why, if it’s mounted above the counter? BECAUSE IT CANNOT BE MOUNTED. It’s bad enough that the directions are horrible, but it won’t stay hooked to the front brackets—look at it and it falls down. Wish I had read all these other 1 star reviews—everybody has this problem. This is the first B&D product I’ve bought (and I’ve bought plenty) that I’ve been totally disappointed with—it’s a piece of junk. DO NOT BUY!

Just bought a new space maker toaster oven...I have had several of these over the years...this one is larger than ones on the past. It will hold four slices of bread...as oppose to 2. My only complaint is that it did not come with a pan...I have not been able to find one that fits as of yet. Otherwise...great oven.

Very unhappy

Just received and "attempted" to install. Should have read review before ordering. Have had 2 previous models of the spacemaker toaster over. Installed them myself and they gave me years of use. I cannot get the toaster over properly seated into the hood. Booklet is inaccurate and does not include necessary pictures/diagrams of steps. Very unhappy....will return if cannot find solution. Toaster over is currently "hanging" by its back hooks.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Mounting system is horrible!!!!!!!!!

I just bought this Spacemaker toaster oven. Had more issues with the installation of the mounting hood than there should have been. Powered thru the install of the hood anyway. Mounted the toaster oven to the hood using the recommended method. Everything looked good...until I pushed one of the buttons on the front and the toaster and the oven fell from the hood! It scratched the wall and nearly damaged my countertop. After this first attempt I put the oven back in the hood. I then put modest pressure on the unit...and it fell down again! The mounting system is very poorly designed. I wondered why an under cabinet toaster oven would have "feet" mounted to the bottom...now I know. They are there because the mounting system doesn't work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bigger than my old one, trickier to install.

Before I get started, let me stress, read the manual. once you learn how to use it the oven is awesome. The heat shield is harder because it's deeper. My cabinet has a 3/4 inch lip, so you will need a 3 inch bolt, the longest they supply is 2 1/4 inch. bolt.They have the bolts in accessories or you can get them at the hardware store. Once you drill the holes to hang the heat shield you will need the extensions in the back but not the front. I used super glue to glue them together then a small piece of masking tape to hold it to the bolt. Start the back bolts first in the back then the front so you can see what your doing. When hanging the oven you have to hang the front hooks first then the back. I used a mirror and a bright light to see the hooks in the back. Kind of tricky but worth the bigger oven.
