mounting system flawed!!

Bought this to save space but the mounting system is terrible, you really need to redesign this!

Problems with overhang cabinets

Our old Toast-r Oven went after about 18 years. Bought the TRS 1000. Did my research. The standard video shows easy install in a cabinet with no overhang. I found videos on how to install in an overhang cabinet. Without it, I would not have figured out what to do. Need more illustrations!. BIGGEST PROBLEM, the bolts provided will not work on a cabinet with a 2.5 inch overhang. The provided screws are too small and most stores do NOT carry a 4" version. I am stuck with two options - give up or re-tap the screw holes to use my current 4' screws from the old installation. HELP!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Controls Too Complicated

I had the prior generation for 17 years and loved it! This one ... I use it and like that it fits under the cabinet. In the world of tech, there's a famous saying that goes something like "try to make something as simple to operate as a toaster" yet here they've made something as complicated to operate that I now need a manual :-/ The old dials did not require thinking--sure there was no timer, yet I knew how to use it! I'm only giving the 2nd star because I do love that this fits under the counter so I deal with it; however, if they come up with a better model that fits into this "tray" then I will upgrade in a heartbeat.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not enough colors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third oven.The first I wore out.The second one a white one the knobs broke I fixed them they lasted for awhile but broke again. I called Black&Decker they said they no longer had knobs so they kindly sent me a new one. I also have the coffee maker and the can opener all white they sent me black&silver.We called them and they said all they had was the black & silver one.So we took the sides off the no knob white one and put them on the one they sent us and now it matches with the rest of them.My point they need more colors especially white as it goes with everything. But I thank them for the one they sent me!

not as good as the old ones

This is our fourth under the counter toaster oven since 1972. The first three all gave many years of hard (daily) use. I have the same complaints as others: difficulty in making it stay mounted (scoll down to Big Al's explanation of how to deal with that), the fact that no pans are included (we are using our old ones), and one sided, and
uneven at that, toasting. It also seems like one setting for toast isn't nearly enough but the next highest number ends up burnt. The need to set a timer for baking is a mixed blessing-it does keep me from burning things because I do not always hear the timer beep. My conclusion - another case of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" and new isn't always an improvement.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
