Never worked right from the day I bought it, Started having trouble with the ice maker immediately Service man came out couldn't fix it I think that was an indicator there was something wrong with the compressor then Compressor went out had a compressor put in it lasted about 2 years 3 years then it goes out again. With my experience with the refrigerator I'll never buy anything LG

Many known flaws causing expensive repairs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] On paper, it looked like a great family fridge but in reality it has many design flaws that necessitated expensive repairs. There was a known-to-LG compressor issue that was not apparent when we purchased; a design flaw in the drawer door that was a known issue to repair companies (the buttons that are supposed to be able to adjust the settings for this compartment are located in a badly thought out place where it short circuits from the condensation from the door above); and another common electrical issue with the left door which makes the water dispenser and ice maker not function and the whole door buzz loudly. This experience makes me question the reliability of LG fridges and takes the company out of the running when we replace this fridge. I did not receive a discount for this fridge, but received an email for a review in exchange for entry into a drawing.
