[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product has a unusual odor that was detected prior to opening the bottle. Not sure if I should try it. Could it be a chemical malfunction? All other carpet shampoos I have purchased had a very pleasing fragrance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Laura, that is unusual, but it is a concentrated formula that is diluted with water for use in your upright deep cleaner. We'd recommend using the formula as directed in your carpet cleaner. Clean a small area first to see if you are happy with the scent once it dries.

That would give you more cleaning power with only a fractional increase in the amount of plastic you're recycling. Container size is the only reason I did not give this product all 5 stars. This product did get most of the urine out of my carpet and has a pleasant citrus smell. It did not prevent my cat from marking that same spot the very next day. I also didn't notice that the Scotchguard did any good.
