Makes carpet smell worse

We used this product because it came with our new upright. This was the first time we've ever had to use a carpet cleaner on our carpet as our carpet was only a year old but our son's dog decided to mark our room. We only did a small area because the sample that came with our upright wasn't enough to do the whole room. We purchased a larger bottle, but we will be taking it back because the smell of this product is worse than the pee smell we had to begin with. Stain is gone, but we may not be able to sleep in our room because the smell is so bad. I've never had a bissell product smell so bad before, but from some of the reviews, it looks like I'm not alone. Maybe there is something wrong with the samples they provide with new uprights. I'm not using it again and will be taking my newly purchased bottle back for a full refund. I wanted to get rid of the urine stink and ended up with an even more unbearable smell in my bedroom. Extremely disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Angie - carpet cleaning, especially when cleaning urine, can lift the smell out of the smell out of the carpet. Your carpet may need an additional cleaning to remove any lingering trapped odors that are now exposed.

It was my first time I needed a hand held shampooer, I'm very pleased with the machine and the shampoo, smells good and worked wonders on the carpet. If in the future I need a bigger machine you'll be the first place I look and purchase.

I was apprehensive about trying this because someone said it smelled bad. To me the scent wasn't offensive. I can't describe the scent to be honest with you, but it wasn't overpowering at all. I used this in conjunction with the pet boost and it took care of the problem. I was tackling an old cat urine stain. I treated it first with the bissell enzyme product and then cleaned the area with this soap and the pet odor booster.

I'm very clean and definitely deep clean often, I finally got a carpet cleaner and used it for the first time with this product, my carpets felt and smelled fresh, looked good and the water in my machine was disgusting! Glad to say it worked!
