I was excited to try out the Urine Eliminator with my new upright vacuum cleaner because I had read great reviews about it online and others had said that the product worked wonders for them and smelled fresh. I had really high expectations for this product because I use the Pet Stain and Odor cleaner with my portable Bissell machine and it smells fine and works really well. Because both of the formulas are designed for tackling pet odors, I assumed that they would be similar in terms of smell and performance. Apparently, the formula for the Pet Urine Eliminator is different or something because it STINKS. The smell was absolutely revolting! This stuff seriously made my room smell worse than the urine itself. It took days for the smell to go away, even though I left my window open and opened the door, as well. So, I ended up wasting money on a product I only used twice and can't return (I did try it out again just to see if perhaps I was overreacting to the smell the first time, but I wasn't. My sisters walked into my room and immediately told me that it smelled horrible ). I looked online to see if there were any other Bissell products I could use that didn't have a strong smell and I came across the Allergen Cleansing formula. I just used it today and was shocked by the difference between the two cleaners. It didn't have a strong odor and seemed to clean my carpets well. So from now on, that's the product I will be sticking with!

Seriously, no urine odor! I know other brands say that, but this is the first time I have used a product that actually backs up what it says!

I have a cat that urinates in certain spots. It's been going on for awhile. I tried every product that was considered "Professional". It didn't even slightly touch the yellow stain. It also brought the smell back. I ordered the 2x's Professional Pet Urine Eliminator and followed the directions. I was amazed that after having the stains for so long since no product would clean it, this product has almost completely removed not only most of the set in stain, but the smell is finally gone! I am going to re-treat the area and I have no doubt that it will get the rest of the stain up. I used the damp towel on it to let it sit and I am so amazed at how well this product worked. Thank you Bissell for being true to your customers and really having a urine remover that works! Of course I will be buying more for the larger stains. Everyone, please don't lose hope until you've tried this product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Worked really well to get old mashed in dirt and dog urine which is why I bought the carpet cleaner also. I have tried everything out there to get it out but all it did was make the carpet sticky which made the dirt stick to it even more. Since buying your products my house smells better and I love my newly cleaned carpets that are white again. Thank you, Bissel for making my home a nice clean place again.
