Best idea for a mount. Works exactly as advertised. Easy to position and unobtrusive. The magnet ring kills all your credit cards. Make the ball the magnet instead and you got a winner!

I bought this item a few years back maybe 3 years. And love it!
It lost its hold on the dashboard. I ordered the (ball) part! Received it and it doesn’t stick at all!

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your input. I am very sorry to hear that you are having a hard time getting the Steelie Dash Mount to stick to your dashboard. The reason that this may be happening is that there could possibly be a residue left on the dash by a cleaner/protectant such as Armor All or something of the like. This can easily be remedied by wiping down the area you wish to adhere to with a simple degreasing cleaner such as Simple Green or 409. Ensure the area you are sticking your mount to is clean and has little to no texture. Allow a few hours for the adhesive to set and cure once you've adhered your dash mount, before putting the weight of your device on it. I would be happy to send you a pack of replacement adhesives covered under our Worry Free Guarantee so that you get get your dash mount going once again. Please reach out to Customer Service at info@niteize.com or at 800.678.6483 8-5 M-F MST, so we can discuss this further and find a solution for you.

I am mildly disappointed with the size magnet I received. I use this to hold my phone in my Jeep. I need a strong magnet while 4 wheeling. This was a replacement for the bigger magnet that I left attached to a metal work table.
