PERFECT SMALL REFRIGERATOR

I live in a small one room cottage. This fits just perfectly in the room. It looks nice too.
Both the refrigerator and freezer is perfect for the food that I purchase.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Two Years Old and ALways Broken

We've had this two years now. It always makes noise. The fan ices up over and over again and wobbles, there's a high frequency whining. Thaw it out, plug it back in and the noise is back in a few days. For a fairly basic refrigerator without an icemaker or any other frills it has been extremely disappointing. Seems like a flawed design from the start.

Freezer drawer /door plan not well designed. Mesh wiring too wide so food can fall out between wires. Pull out freezer drawer would have been better than pull out wire drawer that doesnt pull out easily if frozen stuck.

Has required major repairs repeatedly.

I had to replace the entire fan motor unit in December, just after it was out of warranty, and now it is making terrible noise and intermittently going out. I regret buying this fridge and have had such a terrible experience I am unlikely to buy GE appliances ever again.

Our fridge is only 3 years old. We chose it because we needed a specific size for our very tiny kitchen. After about a year, the fan started making a horrible sound. We called service and the repair guy knew right away what it was; it happens to this model all the time. Ice had formed around the fan so he defrosted it with a blow dryer. When we asked him if there was something we could do to fix it, he told us we would need to defrost it every time it started making this noise....which it does every couple of months. That was the fix. Seriously. Now we are considering replacing this machine.

Didn’t age well against expected lifetime

Similar to many reviews on this product. I purchased this product in 2017 and expected it to last the normal lifespan of 10-12 years. Now just 6 years into use I’m having issues with the compressor fan and compressor unit as it’s making a lot of noise. Sadly GE has discontinued this model making finding replacement parts very difficult and expensive. The cost of having a technician out and parts is nearly equal to the cost of replacing the unit in its entirety.
