25+ years for Amana

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago to replace our 25 yr old Amana Bottom Freezer Refrigerator, very similar model only the old freezer door swung open vs pulls open like this one. Since the first one lasted for so long without any issue until the end, it was a very easy choice of what to buy to replace it!

I like it, but.....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I took quite a while to locate this particular model in white... it's almost identical to my previous refrigerator freezer with the exception of the biggest feature I miss. - a deli drawer. The freezer drawer seems less stable with open wire drawers instead of solid plastic ones I had before. And I need to make a definite effort to close it completely.

The refrigerator on the top is easily accessible and it’s nice not to have to bend over to see what’s in the bins. I can see everything as soon as I open the door. The freezer on the bottom has two levels and gives me so much room. Setting the temperatures is so easy because the dials are right In plain view in the refrigerator top front.

Noisy noisy noisy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the noisiest refrigerator I have ever owned. Service man and tech support said normal operation. Will never buy another Amana, whirlpool, maytag again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

You get what you pay for.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am overall happy with my purchase, except for one thing. The crisper drawers. They feel cheaply made. They hang up when closing don't slide well. Also, I have to pay attention, or they will not shut all the way. I have to shift them in order to get them to shut as they should. Manufactured defect, I don't know. Thought of trying some type of lubricant.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fridge was a disappointment. Bought to replace a Whirlpool with exact same dimensions- space was an issue. Bottom shelf in the door did not attach properly. When door was opened, shelf came loose, and contents of shelf smashed on the floor. We kept the prior fridge and tried to swap out the faulty part, but the fault was in the molded door panel. Had to do a redneck fix with screws. Not cool. Also, the small storage bins on the old fridge were clear. New ones are opaque, so hard to tell what's in them. We swapped them out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
