The perfect refrigerator for our needs

We've had our Amana refrigerator for a couple of months now and it has performed perfectly. Especially like the separate controls for fridge/freezer and lighted freezer compartment. Very quiet, lots of room in fridge with excellent shelf choices. Freezer has plenty of room and sliding upper tray provides easy access to food. I couldn't be happier with it all around

The worst Appliance I have ever bought.

I bought this refrigerator in June and have had nothing but problems with it.
The compressor had to be replaced within the first month. Then the freezer
switch. Then the cycles were not running properly in the freezer which led to
replacing the computer board. We now have a sensor in the freezer to see
if there are even more issues. I will never buy another Amana product.

It's what i wanted

Previous refrigerator/ freezer was 26 years old. Decided to get a new one before it broke so I could get one I wanted and not be stuck with what stores had. Smart thinking on my part. Having an older home is not conducive to today's appliance offerings unless major reconstruction was done to the house. We were restricted to depth and width. I did not want stainless, door filtration or automatic ice. It took over 3 weeks to find a model that would fit. The appliance store was great making calls to manufacturers. Refrigerator is 1" deeper than our space allows so we only lost a little bit of access to our kitchen door. The height left 1/2" space from bottom of cabinets no problem there. The appliance is wonderful everything that was on our shelves are now in the door bin. My shelves are pretty empty. It is very quiet appliance. I do wish the interior light was more recessed or further back but not a big deal. I would have preferred bins in the freezer instead of wire basket but again not a big deal. Having a drawer was more important. I did want a French door but none of them would fit. Manufacturers need to keep in mind that older homes and there are a lot out there can not accommodate the appliances available today. There are so few choices for us. I'm glad Amana still makes refrigerators that will fit in designated spaces of the 1960's era. Finding non side by side, smooth black, no auto ice, or water filtration was not easy. Thank you Amana .

Efficient, reliable and roomy

The fridge is doing a great job for us. It is cost effective to operate, it is reliable for continued use in the long run, and it has plenty of interior room to satisfy our requirements.

Lots of Room!

I love my new refrigerator. It has so much room. The little enclosed shelves on the door are so convenient. The pull-out drawer freezer at the bottom is so convenient and the contents are easily seen! I am so glad I chose this refrigerator...don't know what I would do without it.

The refrigerator and freezer parts do their cooling jobs well. I like the stainless steel finish, but it is hard to wipe clean and keep shiny. The doors are very tight to open, but it helps with energy efficiency. The inside is bright and easy to work with.
