[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] How many engineers and designers did it take to create a freezer (no factory installed ice maker machine) without a way to make and store ice cubes with no mess?????

Not as good as my old one

I bought this refrigerator to replace my last Amana, which was still working, but I didn't want to have to move it long distance to my new residence. This is the same model as my old one only bigger. I too was disappointed that it didn't come with slide out shelves like my last one. Why would they discontinue such a great feature? To save money and still charge a higher amount? I also have a difficult time opening the refrigerator door. My old one also had egg holder, and several other attachments that were standard.

It has plenty of room, but I was shocked it did not come with icemaker. If I spent less money on a regular fridge there would have been an icemaker in it.

I had to replace my old refrigerator and decided on a bottom freezer unit. It's OK, but the seal is so tight that sometimes I have a hard time opening the refrigerator door, especially if I have just closed the freezer door. Also the freezer bins are open mesh and while that allows the cold air to flow, when the ice cubes overflow the bin, I can't reach them to get them out.
