PERFECT ALL OVER AGAIN

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased a replacement for a 28 yr old AMANA of similar design and hope it will serve me as long. The design changed from a freezer door on the bottom to a drawer in this new model and I am getting used to it but think its a an easier reach. The refrigerator portion is large with almost the same options; we found it very versatile/adaptable to our needs. I can easily adjust shelves for holiday roasts and storage containers. The model is lighter it weight than the previous but very happy overall.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A LONGTIME GEM

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was a sad moment when I had to replace our 27 yr old Amana bottom freezer refrigerator. So very thankful I was able to replace it with a model that’s almost identical and look forward to another 27 yr run. This model has a freezer drawer instead of a door which is probably an improvement. My hope is that this refrigerator which is much quieter than the first, will occasionally make some of those old familiar sounds we grew to love and were explained in the manual. It was installed within 15 minutes and up and cooling 100% in the timeframe mentioned in the instructions. So happy.

Not a good experience!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this Amanda refrigerator to replace an Amanda that we loved. This one had NONE of the features that we appreciated in the old one, like the beverage shelf. It comes with no accessories (ice cube trays, ice cube storage bin, egg storage tray). The front is a shiny white finish, not a fingerprint proof finish. The only good thing was the perfect fit between our cupboards, which is the reason we bought it in the first place. We knew it would at least fit and it does! Also, we had to reverse the door and Amanda did not send the plugs to fill in the holes left after the reversal. New frig with two holes in the door. Bummed out!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I would buy again.

Purchased April 2025/now September 2025. I hate French Door refrigerators-when my home flooded-glad to see it go. After 6 months of research-decided on a 2 door freezer on bottom Amana. My kitchen is small & my contractor cut the 6" studs behind the refridgator to 3" (not load bearing wall) as I needed the extra depth to fit this fridge.
PROs
1) Very large & roomy.
2) No water dispenser or ice maker to break. (I did not want either one)
3) Light inside is very bright
4) Tons of door storage
5) Very Quiet
6) Keeps things cool. (No freezing of things in the back like my son's Samsung fridge does)
7) Love the butter holder - never had one before. Very convenient.
8) Love the fact that the area behind the glass shelves is too narrow for stuff to fall down into
9) I had a contractor build a 7" tall platform on casters & he set this Amana fridge on it. I can easily reach to the back of the top glass shelf despite being on a platform & I love it. (Just in case that 100 year flood happens again-my fridge will be safe up off the ground). It rolls out for easy cleaning & he put a white wood skirt on front so can't see casters.

2) Solid door bins - I like the clear door bins in Whirlpool fridges better & I wish I had the option to have them in my Amana. (I don't trust Whirlpool fridges enough to buy their bottom freezer/as it had rust issues etc) (Yes Amana is owned by Whirlpool but after a terrible Whirlpool dishwasher I will never own another Whirlpool product itself product).
3) The vegetable bin drawers do not roll easily in and out & are smaller than expected but I noticed that in dozens of refridgerators I looked at - and heard the same complaint in thousands of reviews across many makes/models I just put apples etc on the glass shelf above vegetable bins if I buy too many fruits/vegetables. They seem to last just as long there.

A good basic quiet refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a bottom freezer refrigerator WITHOUT an ice maker or water dispenser in white. I’m so happy to find one with Amanda. The refrigerator is quiet and works great. I do wish that just because an appliance is basic in function, there would be more care taken to give us customers sturdy drawers, and better sliding mechanisms. The drawers are very cheaply made and do not slide easily. The freezer could have been better engineered as well. I am fine with this unit, but would very deeply appreciate a better quality interior.

Sleek, beautiful, great capacity, quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so happy to finally get rid of the refrigerator that came with my home eight years ago. I took my time shopping for the right replacement watching for sales and reviews that matched my list of requirements. This model gets a five star rating from me! The shelves are sturdy and easy to rearrange. The unit is quiet; much quieter than the one it replaced. And it doesn’t have the nasty, dusty coil on the back. The capacity is definitely an upgrade, especially the door. It is well lit and the shelves are easy to clean. Temps have been consistent. Having the freezer on the bottom makes it much easier to see the contents of the more often accessed refrigerator area. Delivery was efficient and the two gentlemen who did the installation didn’t even complain when they had to take the doors off of the refrigerator to fit it through the entry. We are very pleased with this purchase!
