When our three undercounter appliances (2 refrigerators and one freezer) died at almost the same time, we decided to change up our kitchen and buy something that put more of our food at eye level. We bought this model in black and absolutely love it. There's great storage space in the refrigerator and the bottom freezer is a dream. Best of all it doesn't take up as much space as some of the other models we looked at. Highly recommended.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 20-year-old refrigerator died and I urgently needed one immediately since I was on the cusp of creating wedding flowers in my kitchen. I was not content to settle for just any refrigerator. In an intensive day's search, I finally found this Amana with a freezer at the bottom, no ice/water dispenser, a single refrigerator door, and white in color--all just what I wanted. Imagine my delight that the brand was Amana! I have always heard of their stellar reputation and I already owned an Amana upright freezer and an Amana washer. I purchased it with confidence! This says more about the service where I purchased it--it was delivered the next morning in great time for the flowers!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just bought this house about a year ago and I knew some of the appliances were old. I was sad that they no longer come in the almond or bisque color. But, I noticed that my dishwasher was white so that helped me decide which color to go with . I was very happy that Amana had the size I needed as well, as the same style I had before. It was same day service from a local dealer so it was a win win even though my old fridge' life had ended. I am very satisfied with my new updated version of my refrigerator. Tami A. Postville, Iowa

I am completely happy with our Amana bottom-freezer fridge. The top fridge section is easily accessible and a wise ergonomic choice...no more bending down searching for items. The pull-out freezer drawer is just plain smart and easy to use. And it fits a 13-lb. turkey with plenty of room to spare for other items.

An "emergency" purchase when old 'fridge expired two days before Christmas. Very pleased with the appearance of the appliance and the practicality of the freezer section and shelf arrangements. Only regret is that ice making feature could not be set up at delivery.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had an AMANA refrigerator for many years and were very happy with it - so we replaced it with our new AMANA. We like it even more.
It's been about a month now, and overall we am happy with the purchase. The biggest reason we bought this bottom type freezer was because of my back issues. Having the refrigerator items at the top keeps me from bending over all the time to see what's in the refrigerator. The bottom basket in the freezer could have been enclosed instead of a wire rack which allows cold air to escape more freely when opening the freezer door, but the door isn't open for long period of time. (Maybe there is reason for the wire rack that I am not aware of.) In reality, I think we actually lost some freezer space because of the pull out racks, but we have a small freezer in the back of the house. When opening the door to the freezer one has to make sure to pull from the middle of the handle or use 2 hands equally spaced or the door will not pull out as evenly or smoothly which could lead to issues with the door. (Due to the design of bottom freezers such as this I don't think there is any way this could be avoided.) We have the refrigerator and freezer set to #5, and I've checked the temps with a gauge. The refrigerator temp fluctuates from 32 - 40 degrees with the gauge on the middle rack...I am a little surprised with the fluctuation. The freezer maintains a temperature of zero or slightly below. The shelves in the door area are sturdy; it was a concern because of what I've read about cheaper makes and models on the market. The only other thing is that if you put the butter shelf on the top, you actually lose a little space because the shelf will not go all the way up to the top which leaves about 2.5" of unused space (my wife likes it at the top so we leave it there). Overall, this is a well built unit and I would recommend purchasing this. I base this on lots of research and looking at different makes and models on the market.
