Bottom. Of freezer builds up

Every couple of days I have to take a thick layer of ice out of the bottom of the freezer . After spending a lot for this appliance I really do t think we should have to do this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Roomy fridge.

It is hard enough to find a fridge for a small space, but to find one with this much roominess is nothing short of spectacular. I was a little concerned about the freezer being on the bottom, it my fears were fruitless. I love the pull out drawer. It is so convenient with the sliding baskets. Finding your frozen food is a breeze. Thanks Amana for making such a roomy fridge for small spaces.

Solid Reliability

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had my old Amana Bottom Freezer for 18 years. It finally died last month. For the money and the previous experience with reliability why look at anything else? I did look at other brands but kept coming back to the Amana. This is a no frills refrigerator but it is best at keeping food cold period. Hopefully I can get 18 years out of this unit. Solid and reliable!
