The replacement Otterbox Commuter case promptly came in the mail. The entire product was replaced. I carefully replaced the case and included screen protector. Everything was great for about three days, and then the case broke in the exact same place that it had broken before. The thin plastic piece underneath the home button broke. Seems like a design flaw.
I don't want to waste any more of your time or my time with your case.
Pros: worked well for a couple of days.
Cons: Not durable

My bright pink Otterbox is awesome! My kids love the color, I love the fact that as many times as they have dropped and thrown it, nothing gets broken. I have had cheap cases before and nothing compares to Otterbox.

The hard/soft shell Sport Model breaks easily. I am on my 3rd case in less than two years. Just removing the phone from the case a few times is enough to crack the hard plastic. One phone drop on to a hard floor cracked my second case (phone was fine so it does protect). Otter is good about replacing case under warranty but they have ignored my requests to replace it with a case that holds up better than the Sport. Also, the two toned yellow/gray case picks up a lot of dark soiling and looks bad after a few months and is hard to clean off. Otter's website takes you straight to a warranty replacement page which leads me to believe failures are occuring a LOT. I'm surprised this particular model hasn't been improved or discontinued by now. If it wasn't for the warranty I would be searching for a different manufacturer. Bring back the all silicone case like I had form my first iPhone - it was the BEST.

I have had Otter Boxes on all of my phones for the past 5 years and does my Daughter and Husband. They are great protection for the i phone. My Daughter and I have a few and mix and match the colors. You just can't go wrong with them. The warranty is also great if you have any issues with one breaking.

Safe after a lake dive

After spending a day at the lake my hands were full of lake toys and personal items (including my iPhone and iPod)... as Murphy's Law dictates I lost my balance and everything jumped out of my hands and off of the dock, into 15 feet of murky lake water. ::sigh:: A couple of friends were nice enough to dive for them and pull both out after 5-10 minutes. I immediately turned them off and put both into bags of rice where they hung out for 48 hours. Happy to say that both are fully functional and in constant use. Thank you Otter Box for your products that protected my phone & music!
