Love To Hate

I bought this case new when i got my iPhone 4S back in the First week it came out. i had the guy at the store put the screen protector on and the case itself. it felt really durable in my hand which i thought was a good sign. ive had my otter-box case and my 4S for about 6 months or so now. just the other day i dropped it face down on a cement floor. it had fallen out of my Hoode pocket. i picked up my phone and it looked okay to me so i didn't think much of it. later that night i noticed that there was a crack on my apple logo. so i took my phone out of the case to find my whole back of my phone had completely shattered. i dont understand how this happened cause it landed face down, and was only about a 3 feet drop. not to mention it was in my case like it always was. this case is no longer worth the money in my opinion.
Pros: High quality
Cons: Not durable, bulky
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I liked how this product looked and that it protected all the open ports. Unfortunately the outer case broke withing 2 months of purchase.
Cons: Not durable

The Perfect Iphone case

I recently purchased an Iphone 4S 64GB, my upgrade wasn't available so I didn't get all the discounts you get most of the time. This made picking out a case that would protect my phone very important. I'm currently in College in South Florida (UM) and this case is perfect for pocket carry without being bulky. I believe this case is "just right", it's not too bulky and it combines the qualities of a Hard outer shell with the shock absorbing capabilities of Silicone rubber. I combined my Commuter Series Case with a screen protector which they put on at the Verizon store because I can never get them on straight and without bubbles, I've always hated Screen Protectors but now I see that's because I never got them on just right, I can't even tell the screen protector is there. The way I see it I have the best of both worlds, I also really love the way it's designed. It's perfect for me.
Pros: High quality, Durable, design, ergonomic
Cons: no oem holster
I would recommend this to a friend!

I had this case for the past 7 months since I got my iPhone 4s, well the day finally came when it broke. My phone was knocked of the railing of a 16 foot deck onto a cement patio. From what I can see from the breakage on the case it landed on the corner with the camera lens. The phone survived without so much as a scratch, the case was destroyed. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a awesome case that will fit in your pocket without many problems.
Pros: Durable

I have owned the blue on blue otterbox commuter for about 4 months now. The case and my iPhone 4 are still in great shape-no cracks or chips after numerous drops, and even a quick dip under a running tap. I think the dual material design is the way to go, if the company can make it work. The otterbox commuter is a great example of workmenship and engineering. The silicone and polycarbonate fit together seamlessly. While my iPhone is encased in the commuter, I feel good about throwing it in my pocket and not worrying about it getting damaged. I only have one bad thing to say about this case, and that is the silicone (even the darkish blue) got dirty from everyday scenarios after a few weeks. Nothing; not even denture cleaner will take the all stain out of the silicone. That being said, I still think this is one of the best slimmer cases on the market.

Case broke within 6 months!

I had this case only 6 months. I purchased it when I bought my phone. The salemen stated it's was excellent, his wife owned the same case and it had been ran over and a chew toy for their child. It was strong and didn't have a scratch on it from all that had happened. Mine lasted 6 months with nothing tragic happening. Dropped only on carpet. The purple plastic where you plug your charger in broke off. Not to mention the phone case some home has stretched out and my phone can easily be popped out.
Cons: Low quality, Not durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I wanted a case that offered good protection for everyday use while being slick and not bulky. Co-workers recommended Otterbox so I decided to check it out and found myself looking at the Commuter series. Just got it today and I have to say, it looks awesome. Well made and the feel of it feels like a case that offers very good protection. Very happy so far.

First of all, I am attracted to the Commuter series because of the contrasting colour scheme. I chose the gun metal/yellow because it has that construction design look to it. But thats not why I am writing this review. My iPhone4s with the Commuter series case survived a horrific drop from the top of an escalator to the bottom! My friend and I was discussing things on the top of an escalator going down one floor in a mall. He wanted to see my iPhone 4S case which is the Otterbox Commuter series case because he was thinking of getting a new case for himself. While giving my phone, case and all to him, his fingers slipped and my phone went clattering down the ENTIRE flight of the escalator, banging and bouncing several times on the metal steps of the escalator finally resting on the floor below. So many people saw it and commented, well its time to get a new phone! But i picked my phone up and there was not a single scratch on the iPhone and the iPhone works fine! The only damage i could find was a crack on the hard outer shell! So YES, this Commuter series case Saved my phone and therefore my social life!
Pros: High quality, Durable, design is pretty!
